Chapter 10

Even though doppelgängers look exactly the same, Klaus will eventually find out. Not now, but soon. Fooling a vampire which was more than a thousand years old is quite hard, due to the intelligence and experience he got. They knew that this plan will not work, but at least give it a try right? This could hopefully slow Klaus down for a while and Elena could get a break from Klaus' presence.

Before Damon and Elena left, Elena bid farewell to her brother, Jeremy. And also Jenna, who was both her and her brother's legal guardian and aunt, after both of their parents died in a car crash, through text message, since she was out. She lied to them that she will be going for a vacation with Caroline, Bonnie and Damon, she will be back in a few weeks time. Jeremy knew that it was a lie, since he knew what was the actual plan. But for Jenna, she was an out going person, so she doesn't really mind that Elena will be gone for just a few weeks, since she was already eighteen. But as long as Elena call her every night, letting her know that she was alright.

Katherine as the new 'Elena' will be living with the Salvatore's, keeping away from Jenna and making sure that Katherine won't be eating one of Elena's family, when Elena's away. At that moment, Katherine was sitting on one of the couches playing with her hair and nails, not even bothering to say goodbye to them, since she was part of their plan, not actually being welcomed properly.

All that Elena said to Katherine was, "Please don't act stupid. And thank you."

After saying goodbye to her family, she went to Tory and hugged her. Her hug was comforting, and sometimes makes Tory for wanting a sister. To tie her hair, picking out clothes, gossip all night and even tell her about her difficulties, because sometimes girls understand better. But both of her brothers were good enough for her.

As Elena gave Tory a hug, she whispered to her ear, "I couldn't thank you enough, Tory. "

This made Tory smiled, as she returned a hug to her, "I'm just doing whatever I can. Take care of yourself. "

Both of them let go of their hugs and smiled at each other. Elena then turned to Stefan. Stefan looked sad and uneasy, because he could not be there to protect her. She gave Stefan an encouraging smile, and kissed him. Like giving him one last kiss, but of course that was not going to happen.

"I love you, Elena." Stefan said softly between their kiss.

"I love you too. " as Elena wrapped her arms around Stefan's neck, and pulling him closer towards her, deepening the kiss.

"Alright you two love birds, time to go. " said Damon taking Elena's luggage beside the stairs and headed out to the door. His car was parked right in front of the porch and he placed the luggage into the car's boot.

Elena and Stefan finally broke off, and went out to the car, followed by Tory, Jeremy and Katherine. Elena gave Stefan one last hug and her family one last look, and went into the passenger seat, Damon help her closed her door, what a gentleman.

Before Damon went into the car, Tory gave him a hug, "Going to miss you, Damon. Be careful."

"Me too and I will, don't worry. " he said and wrapped his arms around her, and gave her gentle squeeze. A second or two later, they broke off, giving each other a smile.

Stefan came to Damon, "Take care of her, Damon. We'll inform you when there's something wrong."

"Of course. We'll call you when reach there. And take care of our sister." He said looking at Tory. Stefan put his arms around Tory's shoulders and pulled her closer to him.

"I will. " and gave Tory a smile. Tory looked back at him and giving a smile to him and then towards Damon. She wondered what would it be like to have only Stefan to be in the same house with her. Don't forget Katherine too.
