"What do you mean gone? " Tory asked. Her hand running through her hair as the wind had messed it up. What are they going to do now? If Klaus finds out, they would be in serious trouble.

Suddenly, Tory's phone rang, it was an unknown number, it must be Klaus. Stefan gave her a warning look, telling her not to pick it up. She ignored him and answered.

"Hello?"

"Well, I assume that your Elena is not anywhere near Mystic Falls, ' Klaus said with a steady voice and a mix of anger in it.

Tory chose her words carefully, "And what makes you think that way? "

"Well, let me put it this way, sweet little Katerina left a not for me, which says, " Klaus took out the crumpled note from his pocket and read, "Are you that easy to be tricked?  K. "

"Well, are you? " Tory asked back.

"No. Let me tell you something, I have outlived all of you, and you actually think that you could fool me? "  his voice slowly rose. He paused, cooling himself down, he let out a soft sigh and continued, "Listen to me sweetheart, I want you to tell your brothers and your little friends, to prepare yourselves. I had enough of your childish games, if you do not hand me the doppelganger, I will make your lives miserable as hell, " then, silence. Tory was still holding the phone with her hand, her mouth slightly opened, trying to absorb what she had heard a few seconds ago.

"So, what is it? " Stefan who stood beside her, shook her with a worried look on his face.

"Get Elena back. " That was all Tory said.

As everyone gathered at the Salvatore's living room that night, well, except for Damon and Elena, who were still on their way back home and Amanda went out to have a drink, because she doesn't want to get involved. Tory wanted to join her but couldn't because she had to stay back to explain what Klaus had said.

After all of the explanation, there was an awkward silence, and someone broke it off.

"Great, now all of us are in danger, " Caroline flung her arms up in the air.

"Except for yourself, " Tyler said in a jealous tone. Everyone began nodding and agreeing.

"Come on, it's not my fault that he likes me, " Caroline defended herself, and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Wait, where's Amanda? It's been like two hours since she's gone, " Bonnie asked, looking around.

Tory got so carried away that she had forgotten that her best friends was gone for so long.

"She said she'll be back right away, right? " Caroline added.

"I think I should go look for her, you guys carry on, " Tory stood up, grabbed her coat and headed out. Amanda isn't those kind of person who doesn't follow what they said. If she said that she would be back shortly, she would. Something's wrong, Tory thought.

As she was out of the house, suddenly, a soft voice was calling her name. She looked around and waited for the voice again. She closed her eyes, using her vampire ears, to find out who was it, slowly picking up the voice, it was from the woods and it was someone familiar. Amanda. Tory quickly used her vampire speed and ran into the woods, following the voice.

Tory searched and searched, dodging the tress, and hearing the leaves and broken branches crunches as she stepped. She stopped, all she could hear was the sounds of the insects and her own heartbeat. She coluldn't afford losing someone that she loves, someone that she knew for a really long time.
