Chapter 15

Last night, I slept after we had a conversation. Good thing I got to charge my laptop since I'm planning to go to the cafe and meet up with Coleen.

"Goodmorning!" Ate greeted.

"You're surprisingly up early!" I said and sat down the couch.

She placed a tray where there was a cup of coffee and a plate of ensaymada.

"Naisipan ko lumabas ng maaga at bumili niyan." She said and smiled. She was holding a cup of coffee too.

"Thank you Ate!" I said smiling.

"Any plans?" She asked.

"Hmm, makikipagkita ako kay Coleen." I said. Pinulot ko ang aking cellphone at nagtipa ng mensahe. Sana naman ay puwede siya!

"Isn't she dating Drew?" She asked.

Speaking of... I can make that an issue! But I know Coleen wouldn't like it. Maybe if I wait for pictures that would spread like wildfire!

"Well, they're dating but they have no label or relationship." I said shrugging.

"She's lucky then! Isang artista na gwapo na may magandang career ang napunta sa kanya." Ate commented.

"Bakit ba kasi ayaw mo mag date?" I asked.

"Wala pa kasi akong oras diyan." She said shrugging.

"Oras? Parang ang dami ka nga nun!" I said laughing.

"Hindi kaya. The firm's very busy!" She said defensively.

"Sige na po." Sabi ko at umirap.

"Ikaw? Bakit ayaw mo pa?" She threw back.

"I'm not a sucker for romantic relationships at the moment, Ate!" I answered.

"But I am a sucker for happy endings." I added.

"Would you find your own happy ending?" She asked smirking.

"Diba ikaw 'yung topic dito?" I asked.

Her face cringed. "Ano ba paguusapan niyo nila Coleen?" She diverted the topic.

"Some things. Work, maybe." I said as an excuse.

"Work daw. Baka paguusapan niyo lang si Toby-"

"Paano naman siya nasali dito?!" I almost yelled.

"Wala lang." She shrugged.

I finished my breakfast and immediately went to prepare myself.

"Aalis ako ha!" Ate suddenly went inside my room and said.

"Saan ka naman pupunta?" I said curiously.

"Nag-aya mga workmates ko na umalis! Roadtrip!" She excitingly said.

"Okay, ingat ka, Ate! Please text me." I reminded.

"Oo na!" She said and went out.

I wanted to work all day but I also want to go out. Hindi ko talaga makuha ang sarili ko!

Coleen:

I immediately went to the place where we'll meet. I'm very punctual with my work but whenever there's no work involve, I'm always late! Ugh. Habits.

"Bes! Hello!" She said happily and hugged me so tight.

"How's the spotlight?" I asked and laughed. While I was on my way here, she was featured in a few articles being rumored girlfriend of Drew. Well, gurl, welcome to showbiz.
