*Kaitlin's P.O.V*
He believed me! Seriously! How could that even be true? I can't be dreaming, I don't dream. I can't dream. I smiled like an idiot as I brought my chair up next to Toby's.
"Okay, what game do you want to play?" Toby asks going through PC games in his desk drawers. He looks over at me, and there seemed to be a hint of gleam in his eyes.
"I don't know. I've never really played games before." I admit. Shock spreads over his face, then he chuckles a bit.
"Well! This just got even more fun! Okay! I'll choose then!" He goes through his games, then he sits and thinks.
"Aha! I know! Close your eyes and cover them." He says. I roll my eyes, close them, and cover them.
I sigh getting impatient. "Is this really necessary, Toby?" I ask. I hear a bit of shuffling then a "Yes."
Finally, he tells me I can uncover my eyes. I look at the computer screen to see a game popped up. It was called 'Skyrim.'
"Toby." I say. He looks over. "Yes, Katie?" I stare at the screen then look at him.
"What the heck is 'Skyrim?'" I ask. He laughs and smiles. Oh, that wonderful smile. It's so contagious even I smiled a bit. I haven't fully smiled in a years! Maybe Toby will change that.
"Skyrim," he started off. "Is a magical game with dragons, castles, swords, battle armor, and all types of mythical creatures. It's truly one of my favorite games." He says, putting his hand over his heart. I shake my head and roll my eyes.
"Okay, then! Let's get started!" Toby got up and patted his chair for me to sit in. I nodded and sat in it. He then took my seat.
"Okay, let me help you with the controls and creating a character, and what-not." He says bringing the chair up closer and helping me with the controls.
~An Hour Later~
"TOBY!! HE'S GONNA KILL ME!" I scream mashing buttons and swinging my sword.
Toby, meanwhile, was on the floor laughing.
"AHH!! TOBY!! THE FREAKING DRAGON IS KILLING ME!" I hit more buttons. I pause the game and go to my inventory.
"I have no more arrows! What the heck! I'm dead because of you!" I playfully smack him on the arm.
He gets up off the ground and walks to my screen. "I'm sorry." He says, still trying not to laugh.
"I just thought, it would be funny, and wouldn't anger you." Toby replies, then he laughs again.
"Toby! Making me run off the tower, was not gonna be funny! Even if you were trying to land on the dragon!" I say. I lean back in my chair and look at the inventory screen. Toby finally calmed down and sat down too.
"Hehe, I'm sorry Katie. Forgiveness?" I looked over at him to see he was giving me puppy dog eyes. I shake my head. "I don't think so. Nice try!" He sighed and leaned back in his chair. Then, a weird sound erupted around the room.
"What the hell was that!?" I exclaim sitting up. Toby just started laughing again. "Calm down, that was just my stomach. I'm hungry." he replied. My mouth formed an 'O' shape. He laughed and got up.
"Want anything?" He asks. I shake my head. "I can't eat or drink anything. It will just go right through me. Spirit, remember?" I say.
I got up and gestured my body. He chuckled. "Okay, yeah, right. Sorry. You tend to forget things when you are having fun." Toby turned and ran up the stairs to go get himself some food.
I walk over to the window and looked out again. It was sunny out, and it was lighting up the room. I smiled, and tried to open the latch, but my hand just fell through it again. I sighed and wandered around the room.
For some reason, the latch was the only object in the entire room that I couldn't use. My hand always slid through it. I walked to the little bookcase Toby brought down here on day one, and looked at all the books he had.
He didn't have that many, but a lot of them were really good. He had the first Percy Jackson book and the first Harry Potter book. Plus, he had two Sherlock books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. One more book sat there that I didn't really know. It said 'The Hunger Games.' I've never heard of it.
Then Toby came down stairs with a sandwich on a plate.
"What's up?" He asks setting his plate down next to the computer. I shrug. "Nothing much. Just looking at your books." I say walking away from the bookcase.
He smiled. "Eh, I don't read books. Those were gifts from people. Except for the Harry Potter book. I actually tried reading it." I smiled and sat down.
Toby sat down too. "So, I have a question." Toby says. I nod and cross my arms. He cleared his throat then asked, "How come you never come up stairs?" I looked down and thought about it. I seemed a bit upset about it, but I don't know why. I sighed and sat up.
"It's a long story." I say. Toby leans back and grabs his sandwich. "I've got the the whole rest of the day," he says biting into his sandwich. I sigh. "Okay, well it all began with my suicide."
