A/N: This one is dedicated to the wonderful Tisfor. Her poetry is amazing, and so is she, but that's not the only reason this is dedicated to her. She asked me a question. It was a relatively simple question, but it really got me thinking. And, when I reread this poem before publishing, it reminded me of the question she asked. So this one's for you my friend! I hope you like it!
My hair
Rippling down my back
•••
Your eyes
Against my skin
•••
Your whispers
Barely reaching my ears
•••
My smiles
Matches
Lighting your face as well
•••
What did I do?
To deserve this
•••
What was it?
That made you fall
•••
I was never worth it
But you never saw it that way
•••
The happiness
Makes my heart want to burst
•••
I watch you from the corner of my eye
Watch your expression
•••
Because I need to capture these moments
Before they evaporate
•••
Before they suddenly disappear
And I am left sobbing on the floor
Wondering what I did
•••
Telling myself it wasn't me
Never believing myself
•••
Reminding myself it was my fault
For daring to dream
•••
But I always fall don't I
Every time
•••
Every single time
I dare to dream
•••
Does that make me stupid?
Or brave?
•••
Naive?
Or loving?
•••
I'm not sure I'll ever know
I'm not sure I really care
