A winter wonder land
The snowflakes fall, large and thick
Landing on my lashes
Covering my face
They make the whole world white
They coat everything
Making everything look more beautiful
The trees in an arch over the path
Their branches laden with the delicate flakes
Little sound penetrates the thick blanket
It is a silent, still existence
Perfect for the thoughts that drift through my mind
Peaceful for once
