"Ms Clarence?" I ask.
The woman looks as if she's about to faint. Blood pours from a wound in her leg.
I run to the woman. She holds up a gun.
"Back off, Marcelle!" She snaps. "I worked for Kevin! Now he's dead! And he promised me the power! The power of the group!"
She pushes Isaac into a fence and points a gun at his head.
"How about I blow the pretty little brains out of your boyfriend, then!" She spat.
I'm too dumbfounded to take her assumption as an insult.
"But- you..... you were my- my psychiatrist!" I stutter.
"God, even with your power to see the future, you still manage to befriend the master's SON!"
"I'm not his son anymore!" Isaac shouts.
The woman puts the gun so close to his head, I'm afraid she'll make him bleed with the pressure before she even shoots him.
"Didn't you realize, this whole thing was a trap?" Asked ms Clarence. "Isaac was SUPPOSED to crash into YOU! He was SUPPOSED to kill you!"
"But I love her!" Shouted Isaac. He slammed the gun away from the woman and kicked her in the stomach.
She fell to the ground.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" I screamed. My only friend in the world worked for the man who was trying to kill me!
"Because......... I didn't want you to get hurt!" Isaac stuttered. "Because, I love you! And- and-"
But Isaac didn't finish his sentence, because his lips were suddenly pressed against mine. I looked into his bright, blue eyes and wrapped my arms around him. I had kissed him. After what felt like forever, we pulled away.
I chuckled quietly.
"Sorry." I said. "I- I shouldn't have done that."
Isaac smirked. He picked up ms Clarence's gun and handed it to me.
"Do the honors." He said quietly.
I pointed my gun at the woman.
"You know what, she was a crappy psychologist anyways." I said. I fired a bullet straight into her heart, just like the way Kathleen had been killed.
Isaac smirked.
"Marcy, you never took off he necklace." Isaac said, pointing at my chest. I looked down and saw it.
"Oh- yeah." I responded. "They let me keep jewelry only if it was like, either a wedding ring, or a family heirloom. I think I lied and said it was a wedding ring."
Isaac smirked again. He reached for my hand and grabbed it. We both ran back towards our car. But then we stopped. The car was gone.
"Shit!" I cursed. "Shit! Shit!" I let go of Isaac's hand and put mine against my own head.
I looked back at the cottage, it looked more like a death scene than a cute little house now.
"Isaac?" I asked. "What should we do?"
Isaac reached for my hand again. We began walking up towards the road.
"What are we doing?" I asked.
"Didn't you say, there was a town only ten miles from here?" he asked.
"Yeah! But-" I stopped. "We're gonna walk for ten miles?"
"It will take roughly 150 minutes. I think we'll be ok in each other's company."
I hesitated but finally agreed. We walked up the road together, singing 1,000 bottles of tea on the wall as loudly as we could. When we finally got there, about two hours later, I felt like my lungs would burst.
"Isaac, I'm so tired!" I gasped, throwing myself on the park bench.
Isaac sat down next to me in the little space there was left.
"Do you want something to eat?" He asked. "There's some restaurants around here......"
I put my head in his lap.
"Nah. Not hungry." I said.
Isaac ruffled my hair and pushed me to sit up.
"Sorry." He said. "Awkward."
I smirked and latched my fingers in his. I looked back at him.
"Can we go now?" He asked.
I laughed.
"Ok, yeah let's go."
We walked up deeper into the town and found a hotel. We got a room, happening to be the only room left, and I flung myself on the bed.
"Are you ok?" Isaac asked quickly.
"Yeah." I replied. "Just tired."
"I guess I'll sleep on the couch, then." Isaac stated.
He pulled one of the extra blankets out of the closet and made the couch into his bed.
I fell asleep. When I woke up, a whole day had already passed. Fair enough, guess I was in jail for a week.
"Hey, sleepyhead." Said Isaac as he was making coffee.
He handed me a cup. The warm steam, and delicious smell blew into my nose and immediately made me feel more awake.
I took a sip from my cup and sat down at the counter across from Isaac.
"Isaac, aren't we technically homeless?"
I asked.
Isaac smiled.
"No, we're a young couple vacationing in Florida for the week." Isaac said quickly. He winked at me.
"Oh, so that's the story we'll go with." I said, sighing.
"Hey, also, I almost forgot, in the bottom of my cereal last month, before I even met you......" Isaac said. He reached into his pocket and pulled out two tickets. He handed one to me. I read it.
"Oh my god, Isaac!" I yelled so loudly. "Two tickets to Harry Potter world?"
I embraced Isaac.
"Hey, I've always wanted to go!" Isaac smiled. "And finally, I have an excuse to be in Florida!"
I laughed and suddenly we met eyes again. The world seemed to freeze around us. It was as if all I could see were his eyes.
And I didn't care if the world had been watching, because he was perfect, he was so amazingly perfect, and I didn't say it, but I loved him too.
