When the playlist finally finished, Isaac and I fell onto the couch laughing. I grabbed the remote and turned on the television.
The first thing to pop up was "D.C.D" the local news channel.

"Alex Kellen escaped from police custody yesterday at 12:45 am. Anyone possibly knowing any information about his wearabouts should contact police immediately. For the following county's, please be advised to evacuate or stay indoors; Brodsky county, Hoey county, Katie county, and Bradley county. Please be aware this man is armed and dangerous. Thank you.

"We live in Brodsky county!" Isaac said, panicking.
"Call your mom!" I gasped. "Tell her that we're driving down to Florida!"
Isaac paused.
"What? To Florida? From Maine?" He asked.
"I live there. We have a huge house." I explained. "Plenty of space. I don't want to risk another encounter with that psychopath."
"Fine, but we have to pick up my mum!" Isaac agreed.
"Ok."
We got into Isaac's car and began driving towards where his mother works. A school.
We pulled up at their elementary school. They were under lockdown. We somehow worked out a way to get his mother and push her into the car.
"You're a school nurse?" I asked as we drove.
"Yes." His mother sighed. "How long will this drive take?"
"Twenty four hours." I reply. "You guys can sleep,  Isaac and I will take four hour shifts driving. About as long as it takes to drive through each state."
I brushed the hair out of my face and kept my eyes forward.
The hours flew by, and we stopped at a gas station to get gas and snacks.
Isaac and I switched seats in the car. As he drove I slowly began to get more and more tired. I fell asleep.
"Ok." I heard Isaac say, shaking me to wake up.
"We're in D.C." He said. "We're going to take the Metro the rest of the way to Florida."
"I don't feel good." I whispered, rubbing my head.
"It's ok, you're probably just car sick." Isaac laughed. He picked me up and carried me to the train station.
"I think she needs a break, Isaac." His mother said. "Why don't we go get ice cream and walk around the park?"
"Mum! There's a killer on the loose!" Isaac said, a little too loudly. Everyone stared at us. A lady with a baby stroller's jaw dropped. A jogger threw a worried look at Isaac.
"There's a killer in Maine. We're in Washington D.C.!" His mum laughed.
"Why don't we just go." I said quietly.
Isaac nodded in agreement as he carried me downstairs.
His mother followed. We handed the metro card to the security card and watched him as he scanned it with his eyes.
He handed it back to Isaac.
"Your train arrives in two minutes." He said.
I nodded, understanding. We walked towards the tracks. I leaned over a bit to see the light coming from the end of the tunnel.
It reminded me of when the girl had come, how the ray of light blinded me as he shut the door.
Suddenly, I heard something.
A loud sound of a gun firing.
Everyone around me seemed gone. "Isaac?" I shouted.
Suddenly someone pulled me away from the tracks.
I came back into reality and looked up to see Isaac again.
"Marcy!" He whispered. "You could've been killed!"
I looked around and realized the train was there in front of us.
"What did I do?" I asked.
"You stuck your head over the tracks!" Isaac whispered. We boarded the train to find seats all alined in rows. We sat down towards the back. I watched as the train started to go faster and faster, and all the sudden, we were going really fast! Faster than all the cars, driving on the highway beside us.
"Whoa!" I gawked, running from window to window.
"Marcy!" Isaac laughed.
I waved at the cars on the road. A little girl smiled as she waved back to me.
I giggled as I ran back and forth again.
"Isaac?" I asked. "Can we go on the back railing?"
"Uh, we'd have to ask for special permission." Isaac laughed.
We walked to the security guard in the middle car.
"Hey, uh, could we go on the back railing?" I asked quickly.
"Why?" Asked the guard. She looked extremely suspicious.
"It would be beautiful!" I said.
"But very dangerous!" The guard snapped.
"Please?" I asked.
"You have to talk to Mike." Sighed the guard. "He practically owns that railing."
"Thank you!" I exclaimed, running for the back door.
It slid open as if to welcome Isaac and I inside. I grabbed his hand as we began running from car to car.
When we finally reached the back train car, we found it was much different than the rest of the cars.
It had luxurious red furniture, a huge circular bed with a red railing.
I saw a man sitting in a chair by a small, fake fireplace.
"Hello?" I asked.
The man turned around. He looked at least in his late forties.
"Could we go on the back railing?" I asked quickly.
"Ah. Two hundred dollars." The man said. "It's a prime spot for couples."
The man looked over his glasses at us, reminding me of professor McGonagall.
Isaac stuttered. I remembered he left all of his money at home.
"Oh, but you're so young, and innocent looking." The man chuckled quietly. "I'm willing to let you two go for now."
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed.
I would've jumped up and hugged the man if that wasn't weird.
Mike walked to the door and opened it for us. A gush of warm, summer air spilled into the room.
"I'm leaving the door unlocked." Said Mike. "But just in case it does lock, here's one of my extra keys."
He shoved a key into Isaac's shirt pocket.
I could see tears in Mike's eyes. He looked as if he was about to cry.
"You remind me so much of her." He whispered.
"Who?" I asked.
"My daughter." Mike sighed. "She was taken from me."
"Marcy!" Isaac called from outside.
"I'm sorry." I apologized to Mike.
I quickly walked out the door, the air blowing back my hair and my skirt.
"It's beautiful." I admired, looking at the view. I watched as the highway closed out in front of us as we went over a big, beautiful lake.
I looked up at Isaac and he smiled at me.
"I almost forgot... I have something for you." Isaac laughed. He pulled a small package out of his pocket. It was wrapped in polka dot wrapping paper.
I unwrapped the paper to reveal a small, cardboard box.
"Open it!" Isaac urged.
I opened the box quickly and inside was a time turner necklace.
"Oh my god." I blushed. "Where did you get this?"
"My mum made it. When she was still around, if you know what I mean." Isaac said. "She was a huge potterhead."
I giggled.
Isaac undid the chain on the necklace and put it on me. It hung loosely around my neck and dangled down to my tee-shirt. It fit perfectly.
"This is extremely sweet." I said quietly. "No one ever does this kind of thing for me."
I looked up at his face as he slowly smiled.
"Theres a first time for everything." He laughed. I smirked and nodded agreeably.
My hair blew out behind me as we went through a huge field. Wild coneflowers and sunflowers bloomed around us. My necklace blew around with the wind, forcing me to adjust it.
"So...." I laughed. Isaac laughed with me.
Suddenly I heard a bang sound from behind us.
I turned around to see that Mike had opened the door.
"Hey..." he said. "I was wondering if you two would like some coffee and cookies?"
I usually hated coffee, but Mike seemed so generous and kind that I I would feel rude not to join. I reached for Isaac's hand and pulled him inside.
"Marcy!" Isaac laughed.
We sat down at the red table and I took a cookie. Chocolate chip.
"These are delicious!" I exclaimed. I took another.
"Marcy, we should probably head back to my mum...." Isaac whispered.
"Ok, ok!" I laughed. I grabbed another cookie as Isaac pulled me out the door.
"Bye, Mike!" I yelled.
Mike waved.
As we walked into the next car, Isaac seemed to pull me more and more.
"What was that all about?" I snapped, slapping Isaac's hand away from me.
"There was another man in there!" Isaac whispered. "Don't get me wrong, I bet Mike is the nicest guy ever, but that other guy was giving me a bad vibe!"
I was confused.
"What other guy?" I asked.
"The one in the wooden chair in the corner!" Isaac explained.
I hadn't seen anyone else except for Mike, Isaac and I. But I really hadn't been paying attention, either.
We walked to the next car and sat down with Isaac's mother.
