Servant of Evil

Chapter 5

Meanwhile, in the castle of the Kingdom of Viliri, two hedgehogs who were ignorant of King Shadow's anger, were in Duke Sonic's room. The azure hedgehog was laying down on his beloved ivory's lap, the latter stroking his hands through Sonic's quills. They were enjoying the peaceful moment with each other, when a knock was heard

"Come in" Sonic answered
"Sir Sonic? We have a meeting" the purple chameleon said
"Oh, I'll be there in a minute Espio. Hold on"

The purple chameleon nodded then left the two lovers alone. Sighing, Sonic sat up and kissed Silver's nose then forehead.

"I'll be back alright?"
"I know.." the argent one smiled as he watched Sonic leave the room. He laid there, on the bed, as he thought about the servant he helped. Mephiles was it? He has seen him somewhere.. He definitely wasn't the King of Vadan, no.. Thinking about that servant was giving him an ominous feeling eating away at his chest. Then he heard a bird scratching against the glass windows lightly which appeared to be carrying a note of some sort. Once he got up, he opened the windows to let the tiny messenger bird in and read the note addressed to him. His golden orbs grew wide; somehow, he knew this was going to happen, but how would he meet up with this person without raising suspicion on Sonic's part? He had to think fast. Silver looked around, but nothing could help him...

Time flew by quickly, but the argent male wasn't aware of it, time only occurred to him when her heard a knock on the elegant door, and a servant called him to tell him that dinner was ready. Silver made his way out of the room and into the grand dining hall, in which where a certain blue hedgehog was waiting for him. They ate dinner as Sonic was telling (or in this case, complaining) about how boring the meeting was and how tedious it felt without the ivory male by his side and how he wished he was there. The latter was giggling but in his mind he was coming up with plans to meet that person.

Silver stood up from his seat and approached his blue lover, and wrapped his arms around him.

"Sonic, I'm in a mood for a stroll"
"Do you want me to come with you? It is quite late in the evening"
"no, no need. I just want some fresh air. I won't be out for long"

Sonic looked at him straight in his golden orbs

"Are you sure you don't want company?" he asked sincerely
"Sonic, I can take care of myself. I promise by 11 i'll be back"
"Alright; I am taking your word on it. Be safe"

The ivory male planted a kiss on the Duke's cheek before heading off

As thoughts plagued his mind, he came across his best-friend, who also happen to be the head of the country's military, as he was heading outside.

"Silver?"
"Good evening Blaze" he greeted her with a smile

"what are you doing here so late?"
"I was going out for a stroll"
"I see"

Silver aproached her and held her in a hug.

"Blaze, no matter what happens, always move forward alright?" 

"uhh.. alright" Blaze replied, confused by her snow friend's words, who went ahead for his night stroll
