     Lucy's POV

"No need to be nervous." Happy tried to sooth my anxious body. "Me? Nervous? Pfft no. I am anything but nervous." However my heart was beating faster each step I took closer to the school. When we arrived at the front gate, I gulped down and looked at Happy. "Okay I'm nervous! Eeep! But who wouldn't be!?" Natsu stood behind me and he put his hand on my left shoulder. I glanced back at him, "Each day is a gift and not a given right. Leave no stone unturned. Leave your fears behind. And try to take the path less traveled by. That first step you take is the longest stride." Happy and I dropped both our jaws. "Wow Natsu that was so deep." Happy stated. Natsu sighed, scratching the right side of his head with his nail. "Yeah, well I heard it in a song." Both Happy and I sweat dropped and Happy retorted, "that explains a lot." I laughed, poking fun at Natsu as well, "I'm surprised he was able to remember all those lyrics." Happy snickered and I innocently smiled at Natsu.
He removed his warm hand off my shoulder, leaving that spot colder than the others. He gave a kind smile and I nodded while having my eyes closed. "Well I guess he's right." We continued walking toward the entrance. "That's the spirit!" Natsu exclaimed, making me laugh, while he pumped his fist in the air.
Crowds flooded the halls. I shyly tried to hide behind Natsu. However, that didn't work, since Natsu was bombarded with questions from unfamiliar people. "Where were you yesterday" one girl with scarlet red hair asked. I couldn't see her face since I was hiding behind Natsu, but apparently she noticed me because right after she asked that, she looked past Natsu and at me. "Oh hi! Are you new?" Natsu peered behind him to see who the girl was talking to. I nodded, slowly. "Y-yyeah, I am." I slowly removed my self from behind Natsu and the crowd of people stared at me. "Well I am Erza. What's your name?" She asked, reaching her hand out. I hesitated on grabbing it, but soon did, and responded with "Lucy." She smiled.
Another guy with orange hair and a pair of glasses wrapped his arm around me, making me uncomfortable. He wore as green coat and an orange t shirt under. His hair was a little spiky. His breath shivered down my spine as he remarked, "what is a beauty like you doing with an idiot like him." He emphasized on the word 'idiot' just to make sure Natsu would hear. Offended, Natsu growled back, "HEY!" I laughed, uncomfortably, trying to wiggle my self out of his grasp. "Can you please let go..." I asked gently. Surprised by my forwardness, the guy's eyes widened, but then turned into smile and let go of my  shoulder. "Thank you." I sighed in relief. "I'm Loke. Well technically my name is Leo, but people call me Loke." I nodded my head politely, pretending to be interested. "And who is this lovely beauty?" He smiled, grabbing a strand of my hair and letting it slowly slip through his finger tips. "She's Lucy. And unless you want to get a world of pain, I suggest you back off." Erza demanded, putting one foot harshly on the ground in front of her. Loke's body shook in fear as he awkwardly scooted away. "Thank you." I scratched the back of my head. "It was no problem." She chuckled. "He's considered the 'pretty boy' in this school." I'm guessing every school has a 'pretty boy.'

"Yo Natsu, where's our science project?" An approaching guy with raven hair and a black undershirt growled. "What project?" Natsu asked, scratching the top of his head, trying to remember. The other guy came up into Natsu's face, making Natsu arch his back. "The one that was DUE TODAY!" Every other word he shouted louder than the last. Natsu straightened his back and butted his head against the other guy, making the other guy now arch his back. "G-G-GRAYYYYY!!! NATSUUUU!!!!" Erza screeched, making Natsu latch onto the back of Gray's shoulder, and Gray do the same. "Gray?" Gray's focus came upon me, not realizing my presence until now. "Oh hey Lucy. Wait Lucy? Wait how do I know your name?" My eyes widened. I stood frozen. "I-I don't know...?" I stuttered, a little creeped out. The group of friends got silent.

-
I sat in a seat near the window, gazing out at the green grass and a lonely tree that had leaves falling off of it. How did he know my name? My eyes widened as a leaf flew passed the window slowly. This is exactly....what happened....when I meet Natsu. My head started ache, making me so confused. I felt like crying. I don't know why. But I feel like there's something is going on that I should know about.

"Uh excuse me. M-misss." A girl tapped on my shoulder, breaking me from my deep thoughts. I turned my head to see a small girl with a wool sweater and pink hair with curls at the bottom. She wore white laced gloves and black leggings. "Yeah?" I asked. "I-I-I'm so sorry, b-bbut that's my s-s-seattt!!" She clenched her eyes in fear. I smiled, getting up along with my new book bag. "It's no problem. I'll just move somewhere else." I smiled and she bowed to thank me. I glanced around the room. There was no where to sit. Wait no, there was this one desk in the far back corner next to a girl with blue hair and red glasses. She had an orange head band and a book laid in her hand. I walked slowly toward the empty desk. "Excuse me, but does any one sit here?" I asked gentle. She looked up from her book to inspect me. She gave a smile, "no. You can sit here if you'd like." I smile and gave a nod to say thanks as I took my seat. She continued to read the book. I looked at the title.

"Oh my god, you're reading Fairy Quest?!?" I asked in excitement. She looked up once more. "Uh yea. You like to read?" I shook my head, "no. I love to read." I let out a slight laugh. "My mother used to read that book to me to help me fall asleep." I admitted, smiling at the sweet old days. "This is my third time reading this book. I basically read almost every book in existence." I smirked, "oh yea. Well you haven't read mine." She looked at me in amusement, "you wrote a book?" I sighed, "well not exactly, I am currently writing one. It's not finished though." I rubbed my forehead with my pointer and middle finger together. She settled down her book, "well can I be the first to read it when you finish writing it?" Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm and there was no way I can turn her down. I smiled with a nodded. Excitedly, she brought both her fists in front of her chest as she stared ahead, "yes!" I laughed at her actions. She then turned to look at me again.

"I'm Levy!" Levy....Levy....Levyyyy. The name easily rolled off my tongue. It was so easy for me to say. It's like I've said it a million times before. I spaced out without even realizing it and I was awoken from my thoughts with a snap of the girl's fingers. "Huh- oh sorry." She chuckled. "I'm Lucy."
