Lilly's P.O.V.

I marched into Scotland Yard only to be stopped by Lestrade. "Woah, Lilly I wasn't expecting you back today. Weren't you supposed to be back until tomorrow afternoon." "Plans changed," I say through gritted teeth, "if you'll excuse me I have information to beat out of a certain criminal mastermind." I started walking away and Lestrade grabbed my arm to stop me. "Let go Greg." "Sweetie what's wrong? Is it your Dad again?" Tears stung my eyes as I turned and left. I jumped into a cab and left for Mycroft's place. That's the last place anyone would check.

I knocked on the door and a maid opened the door, "Oh Miss Lilly how are you?" "I've been better thank you. Is my uncle here?" "Oh, yes I'll show you up to him." I walked into Mycroft's sitting room where he was sitting in his chair facing the fire. "Yes?" My voice trembled with grief as the realization of what had happened setttled making my heart heavy enough to weigh down a jumbo jet.

"Uncle Mycroft. I'm sorry if you were busy I couldn't go back home." "He stood and walked over to me and engulfed me in a hug. "I am so sorry Lilly. I thought I had gotten them all." I shook my head letting the tears go for the first time since the events of this morning. "You took out the ones I told you about, but I wasn't observant enough I failed when it mattered most." My voice broke as I cried for my brother. "I'll never get it right, will I? I'll never be nearly as good as my dad. I couldn't even save Uriah." I started shaking. Mycroft picked me up and set in in the chair and brought me some tea.

"Lilly you are amazing and someday you'll be even better than your Dad. You just need to work on it and learn from your mistakes. Uriah would say he was proud of you. You took action and tried your best. Oh, he left something for me to give you. Aparrently he knew Moriarty's plan and wanted to make sure that you knew he loved you." "If he knew then why didn't he try to prevent it?" "Moriarty would have killed everyone he loved and that would have killed him." He walked out of the room and came back only moments later with a perfectly wrapped gift. I looked at Mycroft who handed to me.

Carefully I openned the parcel and pulled out two things, a golden box with my name engraved on the front and a letter. I openned the letter first.

"Flower,

If you're reading this then I am dead. I know you'll have tried to save me, but Moriarty was too good for all of us this time. You can't kill him yet though. Kill him and he'll kill everyone including Mycroft.Just know that I love you and all I've ever wanted is for you to be happy and I know after this is over you'll move on with your life as everyone else will and you'll forget about me and have a family of your own. Throw away the Christmas locket. 12 36 45

                                                                                     Love, Uriah"

I looked at the locket on my neck and ripped it from my neck and threw it in the fire. I looked at Mycroft who stared at me in bewilderment. "Tracking device." I said my voice thick with grief. I openned the box to find a locket with a tree engraved on it on the back it said, "Somewhere only we know."  I chocked back a sob as I covered my mouth with my hand. I placed it around my neck with ease. I openned it up to see a picture of a younger me with Uriah and Dad. My vision blurred with  tears as I closed it and set it gently back on my chest taking in my surroundings and creating a memory. I looked back in the box only to find pictures and two books. One book was full, but the other only had one filled page.

"Life is full of thoughts and stories, you have mine go create your own. - Uriah"

I studied the book, it was black and green, my favorite colors, and it had a beautiful hand drawn lilly on the cover. The drawing was clearly Uriah's you could tell by the pencil strokes and shading. The book was made for me. I set everything back in the box except the locket which I wore around my neck and shut it.

"How long ago did he come to you?" "Last night while everyone was asleep. Those last entries were from last night." I nodded and opened the full journal to one of the last pages.

"Tomorrow is the day Moriarty has planned to kill me. I can't let on that I know until its over and someone finds my journal, or Dad, Lilly, and John will all die. I'm afraid, but I know it has to be done. I just hope that they don't forget who I was and who I could have been. I'm sorry I wasn't there for Lilly all those times even after she was there for me.

Flower, if you ever read I'm sorry for not being there when you really needed me. If you could do something for me, just two things, please. One, take care of yourself and the others, and two, have a wonderful life. At Christmas I hope you still sing Christmas Lights and make sure John doesn't have too much to drink. I left you a DVD message at the end of the journal I left for you. Good bye forever. Love, Uriah."

I put the items back in my bag and allowed myself to fall apart. I curled into a ball and sobbed. I was almost asleep when I felt Mycroft pick me up and carry me to a bed, tuck me in, and kiss my forehead before turning off the light and closing the door. I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.

Sherlock's P.O.V.

I hadn't seen Lilly since Uriah had died this morning. John's been out looking for her for ages and so far nothing. Lestrade said the last he saw her was after she'd left the flat to hurt Moriarty if not kill him and when he stopped her she ran off and nobody's seen her since. They think that I don't care, but I do I just have absolutely nothing to go on, plus Moriarty wouldn't kill Uriah and kidnap Lilly in the same day it's no fun for him. I was sitting in my mind palace in Uriah's room. I was looking at a memory of Uriah when he was five and he got his first guitar. I smiled and allowed a tear to slip down my cheek unchecked. I quickly wiped it away and walked out the door and closed the door. RING!!! RING!!!

I looked down at my phone and smiled. Right on schedule. It was Mycroft telling me Lilly went to him to be left alone and that she was asleep and he's send her home first thing tomorrow. I picked up, "Hello dear brother. I want her home at eight in the morning you understand?" "I would have sent her home, but there was some unfinshed business that we needed to take care of. I'm assuming that you already know that she's asleep and wonder why you haven't told John." "Oh, I almost forgot about John I was busy planning my son's funeral. Good night Mycroft." "Good night Sherlock and don't worry she'll be fine. Give her time." Oh what would you know." A lot more than you good bye."
