"So, you genuinely came to New York just for a literature convention?" I asked, running my tongue along the cold surface of the salted caramel ice cream that Wilmer had just bought me.
The man nodded, "It interests me, believe it or not"
"Right" I nodded,
Wilmer sucked in a deep breath as we entered Central Park as our hotel was just on the other side. "Are you okay?"
"What?"
"After what happened last night"
I nodded softly, "It just scared me" He didn't say anything, "I felt so powerless, I couldn't let it happen again"
"You're a virgin though?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah..." I trailed off, this was the first time that I had actually admitted it.
"I don't have a problem with that"
"Good, because there's nothing you can do to change it" I said stubbornly not realising exactly what I was saying, blushing when it registered in my mind. "I mean... Good, because it's not your choice" I clarified as a small smirk played on Wilmers lips.
"I'd be more than happy to change that" He teased,
The blush covering my face became a deeper shade, "Great to know" Was all I said in response as we walked into the hotel to get ready for the convention.
..
I felt a slight bit tipsy when we were walking through Central Park to get back to our hotel. They had a bar at the venue and the bar tenders never asked for my ID. I didn't really have this freedom back in California, they always wanted to check ID and make sure that you're twenty-one, here not so much.
Wilmer wrapped his arm around my waist as I placed mine around his neck while we walked into the hotel room. I was aware of what I was doing, and my surroundings, but my natural un-coordination didn't help with the alcohol in my system.
Wilmer sat me on the bed as he set his blazer and coat down next to his suitcase. He took the trench coat that was resting loosely over my shoulders and put it on top of his stuff.
"Wil" I mumbled, when he didn't respond after a moment I said again, "Willy" a little louder, giggling slightly at the new nickname I had come up with.
He turned round with a shocked expression masking his face "What?" He asked, sounding like he wanted me to clarify what I had just said.
"Willy?" I stated, although it sounded more like a question.
"Been awhile since I've heard that one. Haven't been called that since I was a child"
"I'm sorry I didn't mean-"
He cut me off "No, its fine. No need to apologise"
"Okay"
"What did you call me for?" He asked,
I smirked, "Come here", one of his eyebrows kinked up in confusion as he walked around the bed, stopping once he was in front of me. I looked up to him as his dark brown eyes met mine. I tugged on the bottom of his un-tucked shirt to pull him closer. I bit my bottom lip as I began to fiddle with the buckle on his belt.
"Calm down, Dems" Wilmer said, placing his hands over mine in an effort to stop my actions.
I sighed "Wilmer...I want you" I said while nervously biting my lip, a blush coming onto my face.
