Finally returning

Carson pov

We were still in the game room. Them laughing and playing. Me zoning in and out. I had gotten into Demetri's mind and found out things. Apparently Kayla isn't as fake to him as she is to us. It's just a front she puts up so she doesn't get hurt. I know it was an invasion of privacy to do that to him. But me and her had history, and it wasn't a good one. I had to try and make sure that he at least wasn't getting played by his own mate.

I look at my group. They were my friends. And some family. I couldn't stop the smile. I looked over at Avri. And he was watching me with a small smile. Once he noticed I saw him he winked at me and went to go mess Summer up again.

Then the game suddenly paused.

"Ethan you're a dipshit." Katana said smacking him upside the head. Everybody still in the game room laughs.

"Ouch, what did I do this time?" Ethan asks as he rubs the back of his head. "I'm literally your team mate, I haven't done anything!" He then pointed out.

"Nothing I was stating the obvious. No need to get your panties in a twist." Katana then said as she returned her attention to the game. Even more laughter had filled the room. I was clutching my stomach I was laughing so hard.

"Quit laughing Carson. See this is why we can't have nice things." Ethan pouted. I had raised one of my eyebrows at him.

"Oh your poor thing." I said sarcastically. "But I'm fucking amazing and you know it." I said with a smirk.

"Ugh, just play the game again katana." Ethan rolled his eyes and turned back to the game. 

A couple minutes of watching them play some more and I got off the couch.

"I'm going to get some food, anybody want anything?" I asked as I reached the door.

"Just bring up whatever. I have a feeling this isn't ending anytime soon." Damon said as he looked over at me. I turned back around and started to head down to the kitchen.

"Wait, Carson I'll come help." Avri said. He then appeared next to me and we walked to the kitchen in a comfortable silence.

"You grab the sodas and the Oreos, I'll pop the popcorn." I told him and we entered the kitchen. We both split up doing our tasks. I grabbed the popcorn and put it in the microwave following the directions that were implanted in my head, food was very nice, for some reason I was always eating. Also Hannah and Caleb always made me pop the pop corn for every pretty little liars episode. After the popcorn was in the microwave I hopped up on the counter waiting for it to be done.

Avri had the sodas and Oreos. But he set them down next to me on the counter where I was siting waiting for the pop corn to be done.

"You know, you can get into anybody's head. I bet if someone got into yours it would be a headache. I imagine you would have very complex thoughts." Avri said as he made himself comfortable between my legs.

"Maybe, but you and Ethan do make my head hurt." I say with a smirk.

"And you make my head hurt to. Just cause your so annoying." He said with a smirk as well. I let out a small laugh and he chuckled a bit too.

Then I noticed he was slowly leaning in. And so was I. But just before our lips met the timer on the microwave went off and he stepped back.

"God, must everything be against us?" He muttered to himself angrily.
