When I learned to train with Jason's pack he had a course that only warriors who have reached a certain age are allowed to take. You don't know it when you start but you get kidnapped, and the hold you hostage for a week. Seven whole days of being locked in the cellar being tortured. They do this so they increase your pain tolerance. They make it to where if you were actually kidnapped you wouldn't easily let out all your secrets. They also do it so you don't express your emotions or your pain to you captures. I did the best in the course. But then again. I had a good two year head start.
When I stopped crying I wiped all emotion from my face. I kept it to little to no emotion in my entire body.
"He's not dead yet is he?" A male voiced questioned. When I looked up I see Ethan's little brother staring back at me. I never really realized how much they actually looked a like.
They both look a lot like their father. Dark brown hair, high defined cheekbones, and very sharp features. But while Ethan had the cold hard grey eyes like his father, Jeremy had bright blue ones like his mother.
"Carson," Jeremy waved his hand in front of my face, "Are you okay?"
"I haven't been in to see him so I don't know how he's doing," I tried to say with no emotion but the voice crack gave me away.
"Come on, we can go in together," Jeremy reached his hand out to me. I didn't take it but I got off the floor and dusted my self off. I took a large in take of air and slowly let it out. Jeremy looked back at me to make sure I was going to come. He gave me a sad smile and walked in first. I followed behind him. Once my eyes found him I felt the tears prick my eyes again but I wouldn't let them fall. Jermey just pulled up a chair and sat by his brother.
"God I hope he pulls through," Jeremy whispered. "I don't know how to be an alpha. I won't be as good of a leader as him."
"Ethan made some pour choices in the beginning, like rejecting me." I laughed at the memory, "But I have no doubt you will be amazing just like him."
Jermey looked up and me and I gave him a reassuring smile. I looked away from Jeremy and looked back at Ethan. He had a breathing mask on his face to make sure he got air. He also had bruises on his face.
I walked closer to Ethan's bed and sat down on it. I then laid down and rested my head in his chest to hear his heart beat. I laid with him for awhile in a peaceful silence.
"I'm sorry Ethan I'm so so sorry," whisper to his body not knowing if he could hear me.
"Carson?" Jeremy questioned giving me a weird look.
"I'm sorry I have to go," I choked out as I left Ethan's room in a hurry.
"Carson wait," Jeremy shouted after me but I took off faster down the hall way to lose him. I then came to an empty hall way that connected with the one I was rushing down. I turned the corner and slide down to the floor resting my back against the wall for support because my body felt weak. I felt weak. All I could do was cry and I was so tired of crying.
"Carson it's Avri," Katana spoke urgently in my head, "come quick room 213."
I jumped to my feet and sprinted down the hall. Not caring about any of the looks I got. I just wanted to run. To get to my mate. I needed to get to him. I ran to the closest stair well and ran up to the second floor. I looked at the number at the top of the door and saw 279 I quickly took off the the direction in which the numbers got smaller. Even though I was running as fast as I could it felt like time was passing by at an incredibly slow spend. Seconds felt like minutes and my heart felt like breaking.
Turning the corner to see 217 I pushed faster until I came to the door the read 213. I entered the door and saw Avri laying in the bed. He looked awful. His eyes were both swollen shut there was a long scratch that ran down from his ear to his chin. And more bruising around his face but I couldn't tell for the rest of his body and I honestly didn't want to know.
