No Words Needed
a sickle moon watches over the sea tonight,
its silver light uncertain, yet enough.
silence envelopes us,
the crashing waves and patient heartbeats are all that's heard.
eyes find their way through the dark,
straining to remember familiar shadows cast in the sand.
cold hands find warmth,
retracing contours etched deep in memory.
time stood still,
but the ebb and flow of tides went on,
becoming an instant salve to wounds of past transgressions.
no words were spoken,
yet all was understood.
