“Never thought I’d find you here.”
I came here to look for my dad, but this bar is filled with worthless teens that don’t care anything about life besides the dancing and drinking. And why do I get the feeling that I am meant to be burdened all the time? Why on earth do I have to see Coke guy again. What did he say his name was? Danny? Daniel? Yah. That. Daniel.
“Library and Bar. You’re unpredictable.”
“Not now, okay.”
“Not now what? You should loosen a bit Miss. Besides, you came here to party.”
“You know better? I am not here to party NOR to talk to you.”
I was looking around until I saw my dad lying in the corner.
“DAD!!!” I panicked and ran to him.
“Let me help you carry him.” I didn’t argue. I felt so weak that I needed someone to help me get him up.
When we arrived home, we placed dad in a comfortable position. I also called Jasmine to inform her that I already found him. Coke Guy was sitting in the living room. He offered to bring both of us home. And for a brief moment, I forgot that he was this rude guy I hated. I saw a completely different person.
“Would you like anything to drink?” I said. I can’t believe that the person to be helping this time was the least that I expected, or the one I never really expected at all.
“No, I’m fine.” He paused. “I’m sorry.”
“For what? Being a jerk?”
He laughed. “ Yeah, kind of. And for being annoying. And judgmental too?”
“Yah, I agree. That’s really you. So, uhhhmm.. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. So, can we start again? Hi, I’m Daniel. It’s nice to meet you, Miss….” And again he extended his hand. This time, I grabbed it and answered,
“Sam.”
