2. The Britney Fantasies.

Chapter 2: The Britney Fantasies.

"Who can tell me who Christopher Cross is?" Mr. Schuester asked, walking into the glee club. Everyone was sitting there looking bored waiting for their teacher to tell them what the next assignment was.

"He discovered America." Brittany answered. Everyone stared at the ditsy blonde and went back to ignoring her. Their attention went back to Mr. Schuester at the mention of performing in front of the school's pep rally.

Mr. Schuester talked about them performing a adult contemporary for the performance, everyone groaned at that.

The glee club was already being ridiculed by the whole school, it toned down a little but the still continued with the whole slushy thing. Mr. Schuester was trying to convince them that it was the kids that it was a great idea, that was until Kurt spoke up saying something about the people wanting the New Directions preform a Britney Spears number.

Everyone seemed to agree with what Kurt had said. Puck smirked and just sat back watching everyone.

"I don't think she's a very good role model." Mr. Schue said after saying no to the idea.

"But Mr. Schue we kind of grew up with her." Finn admitted shyly.

"She's literally why I wanted to become a performer." Tina added.

Everyone was going on and on about wanting to do a Britney number. until the ditsy blonde spoke up. "I don't want to do Britney." Brittany said.

"Why no Britney, Brittany?" Kurt asked.

After Kurt asked the question the blonde went on that she was Brittany Spierce. Everyone looked at her like she has gone crazy, and she just went on explaining how she lived her life living in the shadow of Britney. Puck let out a snort and Matt just elbowed the dude but he was also trying hard not to laugh.

"Well there you have it, guys it's been decided. No Britney." Mr. Schue said. Everyone just groaned or complained to one and other about not getting the chance to preform.

"Thanks Britt, thanks a lot." Kurt said. Santana sneered at him to back off, and went to comfort her friend. They all heard the bell ring and everyone left.

"Oh hey Puck?" Mr, Schuester called him out. Puck froze and walked towards him. Matt, Mike and Tina nodded in understanding and they all left.

"Heard anything of Rachel? Has Shelby been looking for her while she's in New York?"

Puck sighed and just sat leaned on the piano. "No, I already went to Manhattan, New York, nothing. I tried calling Shelby and by the sounds of it, she's enjoying being a mommy to the little blonde girl she has rather than looking for her actual daughter." he growled out.

Mr. Schuester gave him a sympathetic look, but that went away and slapped the boys back. "I have faith she'll return this year. I can feel it." the teacher admitted to the teen. Puck smiled and nodded.

"I hope you're right Mr. Schuester. If we're going to nationals this year, she has to been there next to us. It's in New York, her dream place." Both men let out a laugh, Mr. Schuester let Puck go on his day while he made his way to Ms. Pillsbury office.

"What did Mr. Schuester wanted to talk to about man?" Matt asked once he found Puck.

"He wanted to know if I heard or found Rachel, or if Shelby was helping looking for "her daughter"." Puck responded as he dropped of his stuff at his locker. He slammed it shut, angry at the fact that Shelby Corcoran isn't helping looking for her girl she gave birth to.
