I'm finally here. After a long 14 hour trip across the other side of the world, I'm finally at Korea. It was comfortable, no doubt that. Who knew Korean airplanes were so comfortable?

I had two days to rest before I had to work for DOT Industries. Apparently the CEO of the company needed a translator as fast as he could and I was requested. I've translated countless things. I'm quite good at my job and besides, I was getting a better paycheck here than translating Korean dramas to English and other languages.

I quickly went through the procedure to get out of this cramped place and thankfully, my luggage was one of the first to come out. I bought an extremely large suitcase for my important stuff. I was told that I had an apartment close to the company and it had everyday essentials. I didn't have to bring everything and I was glad to get rid of half of my stuff from home. So, I quickly packed my essentials, donated my other junk, and took a plane here.

I was still tired after the long flight, and I raced outside to breathe the new air. I was hit with the smell of heavy pollution and the blaring noises of buses. I groaned inwardly. What a way to start off my new life.

I waited patiently for the car that was supposed to pick me up. The CEO wanted to drop me off to my apartment and he told me before I left my house, that I should wait for his car. I couldn't wait to see my new house and I was more eager to get working. Working got my brain moving and I easily got bored. I always needed something to do.

After another three minutes of staring at my new surroundings, I heard a loud honk and I yelp with surprise. There, standing out among the other cars, was a sleek, black, limousine. My eyes bulged out and the curious crowd was staring at me with equal surprise.

A tall, gorgeous man briskly came out of the door and bowed down to me. He stood straight up again and politely gave me a smile. He heaved my luggage towards the trunk and he opened the polished door for me to go inside. I blushed a beet red and he gave me a slight smirk before going to the other side to drive the car.

We sat in a comfortable silence until he stared at me through the glistening review mirror. I stared right at him and he gave a small wave before looking back at the road.

"Hello Ms. Davis. It's a pleasure to officially meet you. The CEO and I have been awaiting your arrival for quite a while. My name is Chanyeol and I am his driver." He chuckled lightly at my blushing face.

"Oh h-hello. Thank you for picking me up.  Although you didn't have to show up with such a nice car," I mutter with fascination.

"I only do what the CEO wants me to do. I'm actually good friends with him. I also requested that I should show up with your new car so you could test it out and have a feel of Korea's roads, but he insisted you required the best service. After all, you are his translator." He warmly said.

"Aw, that's so sweet of him," I flushed from the luxurious treatment I was receiving, "I can't believe he's offering a car and an apartment for me to live in. Don't you think that's too much to receive?"

Chanyeol lets out a chuckle. I smile awkwardly, trying to express my guilty feelings. I truly was sorry for all the trouble I probably caused for my boss.

I see the car slowly stop and my mouth drops again when I see the sparkling apartment building. Chanyeol leads me outside with my luggage and I stagger behind him as he directs me toward my new home. We travel to the top floor and we head to the end of the right hall. He gently hands me my new keys before leaving me alone in this heaven.

I greedily step inside and I gasp with surprise. It was sparkling with glossy tiles and furniture. I slipped my shoes off and let my aching feet feel the plush slippers that were set in front of me. The view was splendid with the sunset and the Seoul Tower miles away in the distance. Small buildings and restaurants were close to my building and they started glowing due to the darkness slowly creeping in. The company appeared to be about eight minutes away from my house. I could walk or use my new car.

My entire apartment was surrounded with white and I loved it. Simple things were things I adored and this lustrous white was something only my daydreams would reveal.

As I toured my entire apartment again, I finally settled on the white, velvet sofa and closed my eyes, processing the information. Everything was spotless and clean, just how I liked it. The white gave off a simple and innocent vibe and I was addicted. Everything was a glossy white to the point where I was so scared to touch the bathroom because I was scared to get my fingerprints all over the precious place.

It was late at night when I was finally done with my email to my new boss. I wanted to let him know that I was in love with the entire place and that I was thankful for everything. I let out a long breath as I pressed the 'send' button at the bottom of the page. It was sent and hopefully he would respond.

I strolled right up to my refrigerator. I opened the door and I immediately snatched the tteokbokki(떡볶이). I heated up the large pan and I happily followed the instructions on the back. I quietly worked on the red, spicy sauce and after it had satisfied my taste buds, I stirred in the soft, white, rice cakes.

The food looked amazing. The piping red sauce was spread evenly on the white rice cakes and they appeared to be soft and chewy. Small bits of steam rose from the rice cake, and my mouth watered from the smell of the spicy treat. I grabbed a silver fork and I dug in.

I finished in record time with a burning mouth, but a satisfied stomach. I rapidly washed the dishes and I trudged toward the bathroom to get ready for my much needed beauty sleep. I wiped my heavy makeup and I washed my face, ready to call it a night. I crawled towards the inviting bed and the minute my body fell on top of my bed, I was out like a light.
