"Time to lay off some time..."- My Korean Boss, Chapter 9
I strolled toward the living room and plopped on the plush, white, couch, bored to death. Kai told me to waste some time doing something until 6:00, but that was another three hours. I only needed two hours to get ready, so I still had one hour without anything to do.
So, being the lazy ass I was, I went on my laptop and began to scroll through some Korean dramas. Seeing a short web drama, I clicked the link curiously and discovered a new web drama: Exo Next Door.
Squishing my body closer to the couch, I pressed the "play" button and immediately smiled at the adorable format of the K-drama. Chanyeol, one of the main characters, appeared and I couldn't help that the Chanyeol I knew and the Chanyeol in the drama were too similar.
Huh... That's so weird! It would be so funny if they were the same person...
As an hour filled with laughing and crying passed, I shut my laptop and shuffled my feet toward the kitchen.
Opening the refrigerator, I realized that I forgot to actually go shopping for food. I had quickly snarfed down all of my food late at night and completely forgot to go shopping for some more.
Shit. I'll have to go to damn cafe again. They should be glad I'm wasting my money for their food. Their food is amazing though.
Heading to my bedroom, I inwardly cringed at the thought of going outside for dinner.
Hey... I should call Kai! I'll tell him I'll buy him dinner for tonight!
Snatching my phone from the front of the house, I went to my phone and stared at the "history" page. His phone number was NOT there.
Oh no... Do I actually have to go over to his house and ask? That's so weird! What if I walk into him being shirtless again? That's going to be terrible...
I anxiously ripped off my phone case, folding it with my hands. It was a terrible habit of mine since I was a teen and I tried to stop myself from doing it in public. As I beat the crap out of my phone case, I noticed a piece of paper float onto the wooden floor.
I bent over, gently grasping the folded sheet. As I opened it up, I saw a bunch of numbers and Kai's name with a heart next to it.
"Hey girlie! I know you're probably going to miss me... So have my number! I promise it's not fake."
Rolling my eyes in amusement, I typed his number into my phone and pressed the green "dial" button. I bit my lip, waiting for him to pick up his phone.
"Hello?" Kai's raspy voice came to life.
"Hey," I squeaked.
"Hel... GIRLIE!"
"Hi Kai. Thanks for your number. I really needed it."
"Awww, did you miss my presence already?"
"Kind of."
"You're honest."
"I'll get right to the point. I have no food in my fridge and I don't want to be the only one eating dinner by herself in a good ass cafe. Please come with me?"
"Aww, you're asking me to be your boyfriend? Are you going to rent me?"
"Now that's creepy. You aren't a slave to me. I'm asking you out for dinner before you drag me somewhere."
"Hmm, maybe I don't want to eat with you. I don't trust you!"
"You stupid ass. I trust you!"
"Jesus woman! Take a joke... Let's go to dinner then! Want me to pick you up in an hour? I'm still practicing."
