After class Gon, Kite, and Komugi stayed after class to talk to Leorio.
Leorio looked up from his desk after class and noticed that 3 of his students were walking up to him.
"Oi, how can I help you guys?" Leorio said, giving a friendly smile.
Gon was the first one to speak up. "Mm, Leorio Sensei! We need your help with an upcoming play!" Gon said, determined to make him say yes.
Leorio looked at them dumbfounded for a second. "Help with a school play?" He asked, confused.
"Why ask me instead of Chrollo? He's an great actor." Leorio said, stroking his chin in thought.
Gon rubbed the back of his head, feeling a head of sweat forming on his head.
Well because Kurapika would certainly kill us is one reason why. . .
"Um, well. . . Because they all said no!" Gon said, quickly lying.
Kite and Komugi nodded in agreement.
"Well, in that case. . . May I ask what this play is about first?" Leorio said, scratching the back of his head.
Komugi nodded.
"U-Um well, the play is a-about a teacher a-and student falling in l-love with each other. ." She said, nervously.
Leorio's jaw dropped as his facial expression turned serious for a second.
"And who will play the student?" Leorio asked, curiously.
Please don't be Kurapika. . . Please don't be Kurapika. . . PLEASE. DON'T. BE. KURAPIKA.
"Kurapika." Kite said, looking at Leorio.
Leorio mentally facepalmed.
"Um, and when will these rehearsals be?" He asked, trying to come up with an excuse as to why he couldn't play the part.
Gon looked at his phone's calendar and looked at the rehearsal dates and times.
"Mm, Monday through Friday from 3:15-6:15." Gon said, smiling.
Leorio pretended to look at his phone as well.
"Oh would you look here, I'm pretty much busy on all those days and times, because of teacher planning." He said, proud of his quick lie.
Gon put on his super cute pout face and looked down at his green high top sneakers. "Well guys, I guess we won't be able to do the play after all. . ." Gon said, sounding extremely hurt.
Leorio felt extremely bad for making Gon upset and sighed.
I have a feeling that I'm going to regret this. . .
"W-wait Gon! I think I can find time to plan during the weekend." He called out, making Gon happy once more.
"Yay! So you'll do it?!" Gon screamed, excited.
Leorio scratched the back of his head.
What am I getting myself into?
"Yeah yeah sure, sign me up." Leorio said, nodding.
Before Gon and his friends could exit the classroom Leorio called his name.
"Oi, Gon!" Leorio called, causing the short boy to turn around.
"Yes Sensei?" Gon asked, smiling.
"Will there be food?" Leorio asked, with an serious facial expression.
Gon laughed and nodded. "Of course!" He said while laughing.
Leorio nodded and smiled. "Good, then you can definitely count me in!" He said, laughing as well.
Once the 3 exited the classroom they gave each other a high five.
"Looks like Gon's acting skills paid off, huh?" Komugi whispered to Kite.
Kite just nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, seems so." He replied.
