Cas Tries To Get It Back.

DEAN'S POV

"Hey, Deano, I'm gonna pretend I didn't just see my baby brother make out with an ape but guess who I brought?" He said before opening the door to the bunker.

Outside, stood a very confused Sam.

I didn't hesitate to run up the stairs to the entrance. I hugged Sam and felt his arms curl around me. My brother has returned and that felt good.

"Sam? Before you kill me, I'm just gonna let you know that I regret nothing." I say, expecting a scolding. Instead, he let out a huff of a laugh.

"Look, Dean. I think I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't stop till I was okay and hey, it helped." He said. "But, where have you been? I've been looking for you for the past I don't know how many months."

"About that. Ibecameareapertosaveyou." I said, inaudiblealy.

"You what?! Please don't tell me what I just heard was true" he replied.

*After explaining to Cas and Sam about what happened.* (A/N cause I'm lazy to type it all out.)

"Wow." Was all they both said in unison.

"So," Gabe cuts in, "before we go hugging and ahem, making out, let's find a way to get Cas's grace back, shall we?"

"Wait, making out?" Sam furrowed his eyebrows. Cas and I share glances, blushing uncontrollably. "You know what, never mind. I had a hunch, anyways." He smirked.

"Wait, you guys knew that Cas and I..." I say, not daring to continue.

"Dean, although Narnia's far, I'm a nerd and I can tell when something's hiding in the closet. Even if it's very deep."

I was going to protest but decided against it and instead glared at him.

"Okay, amigos. Back to today's topic. I know what happened to Cas's grace but you're not going to like it." Gabe says. This caught our attention. He took our silence as a sign to continue. "The reason why Cassie wasn't allowed to go anywhere near Sam is because the thing keeping Sam alive is Cas's grace. If Cas goes anywhere near Sam, his grace automatically comes back to him. Kinda like a magnet."

"But, why isn't it coming back to me right now?" Cas asked.

"You've been gone long enough for it not to recognise you anymore. You've became more human than you are angel." Gabe says.

"Then, why are you here, Gabe?" Cas asked angrily. "Why do you come back now after all I've suffered? Died for, even."

Gabe laughed lightly at that, giving Cas a confused look. "Don't underestimate me, brother. If I came here any sooner, your grace would have recognised you, right away, leaving Sam. Lifeless. Dead."

"Wait, but what now?" I cut in. "If Sam's okay without Cas's grace, why can't he just take it back?"

"Like I said Deany boy," I cringe at that nickname, "Cas is more human now. The angel side of him, almost completely gone, but..." he trailed off for a dramatic effect, "I know how to get it back."

"Great, let's do it." I say.

Gabriel looked at me, with a 'god, these cute, pathetic little humans' look.

"It's not that easy, Deano." He turns his head to Cas. "You ready, little bro, cause if you're up for this, you're in for some real fun." He says.

And by the way he says 'fun', I know that what's about to happen is going to be far from it.

CAS'S POV

I look up at my brother and made up my mind.

"When do I start?"

A/N HAHAHAHAHA SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE GUYYSS!!! In my defence though, I did have exams two weeks ago and before that I was busy studying. Lat week, I was just straight up lazy. Hahaha. Sorry, I'll try to be punctual next time. This is a filler chapter btw so don't hate me.
