As soon as the door opens, a cloud of dust flows right out of the room. As the cloud passes us, along with the coughing, a bright light shines from out of the basement. The sunlight-colored light covers our sight within a second.
"Hello?" Aiden says as he opens the door a bit further. "Ssht! Are you crazy?!" Lydia then says. "What?" Aiden asks as her a bit confused by her tone. "That's exactly what they do in horror movies!" I giggle softly at Lydia's sentence. Aiden looks up at us again while he forms a frown on his face. "I can't disagree on that one. It's eh, a common death in some typical horror movies" I add to the conversation. "Well this isn't really one of those typical horror movies now is it?" Aiden says as he raises his hand which reveals his claws. "Are you guys coming or what?" A voice speaks up from out of the room. We quickly find out Ethan went inside already. I look at Lydia who seems to be giving Aiden her flirty eyes. "Find us a vampire and this could be a sequel to Twilight. My kind of horror movie" I sarcastically whisper to myself while I roll my eyes.
We step inside the cellar and the first thing we notice is the light which so brighly blinded us. It's a small table light which is standing on an old wooden desk. Next to it stands an old bookcase. It's filled with some of the simplest books. Lydia picks up one of the books and reads its cover only to put it back immediately. She lets out a simple "hmm" and turns back to us. "There's nothing here" Ethan says and looks over to his brother. Lydia walks towards another door which would lead us into the building itself. She tries to pull the door open, but fails to since it seems to be locked. "There's something..." She whispers to herself. "Lydia? What did you say?" Lydia turns around and looks me right in the eyes as she repeats her sentence. "There's something... behind this door." I frown and walk towards the door. "What if it's just someones house." "No. It's not" Lydia says as she presses her lips together and focusses on the door. "How do you know?" Aiden asks. "I just... I just know." Ethan walks over to both Lydia and me and pushes the door. "It's locked" "yea, we figured" I reply to Ethan. "Step aside" Aiden commands and so we do. In just a second Aiden has thrown his whole body against the door in order to open it. "This isn't going to work" Lydia sighs. "We need a plan B."
