"Wait. Please," I yell, hoping he'll hear me
...and he does.
He stops. There he stands, with his back rotated towards me.
I take a step forward and immediately recognize the person in front of me. It's exactly who I thought it was, who I hoped for. His brown colored, curly hair and long figure can't be overlooked nor can I mix it up with somebody else. I recognize my boyfriend within an instant.
"Isaac?" My voice shakes, a bit scared by how he may reply. Scared he won't be the same Isaac. Scared he might hurt me, or even worse, himself.
Isaac turns himself around, slowly yet confident. His body is turned towards me, but he's looking towards the ground, instead of towards me. I take a step forward, hoping he won't disappear. He doesn't, so I take another step and I continue to until I'm standing right in front of him. Yet he still doesn't look at me.
"Isaac. Please look at me."
He doesn't. I place my palm on his cheek, softly and slowly lifting his head towards me. He now looks me straight in the eyes. They're nothing I've seen before. They're cold, weak yet dangerous. Normally I would look into his eyes and I could see the sky through them. His sparkling eyes would look like the universe. They would show me the universe. It always took my breath away. It was something that he didn't had at first. The moment he healed it came to him, and now he lost it again.
I look into his eyes and lay my hands on both sides of his face, holding on to him. "Isaac?" I question, hoping he'll talk to me. He continues to stare into my eyes as he grabs my arms lightly. A tear slowly slides over my cheek and my heart is racing. I smile and notice how a sparkle in his eyes shines for just a second before disappearing again. Instead a small smirk forms itself on his face. His eyes are becoming darker again as his face tightens once more, but then another smirks appears on his face, but this time it's not the lovable one he'd share with me whenever he was giving me a flirtatious attitude. It's one I haven't seen before. One which is making me take a step back, but as I do so I notice it's too late. Just a second later my sight becomes blurry and my knees are weaker than ever before, making me fall down against the wet and cold grass.
