Reckless

It had been quite a week.

The first few nights were light, fun, quite uneventful. The trio was known for being like that.

Then the nightmares had begun.

Ty would have nightmares in his room, ones that he would scream and wake himself up. Terrifying — as he would describe them. Sleepless night after sleepless night; advice after advice, Adam had stuck with him.

"Stay with me until the end?" Ty would request.

"Surely," Adam would always reply.

But tonight wasn't like that.

In fact, Ty was screaming right now — it was the loudest he had been since they got here. Adam was far away, sitting on the couch hugging his knees with sharp breaths and fast paced breathing. Tears. They were his tears.

Ty's words were just jumbles of rants that were barely understood, but slowly they had became clear, structured, verbalized. Jason wasn't aware of what was occurring around them, and frankly he couldn't understand. His mind couldn't piece anything together, but he acknowledged Ty's anger.

"I despise you Adam, I despise you!" Ty shouted from across the room, struggling to break free from the men trying to drag him out of the mansion. His glowing, neon green headphones fell on the floor. They were now gone; the colored faded and the pieces broken.

"It's for your own good!" Adam shouted back, hiccuping and wiping his eyes.

"That's what they all say! You broke your promise!"

Jason wanted to hold both of them in one last embrace, the embrace that was so familiar but had appeared so distant now. He wanted to hug Adam, wanted to hug Ty, but his vision was blurry, his mind blank as snow. The pills were getting him, too. His mind was erasing, memories fading, his heart slowing.

Jason doesn't know what is happening next but he find Adam crying at his shoulder. It's quiet now without Ty, and the mansion feels more empty. It was almost as if everything was a curse; first is was Seto, then Quinten and Ian, Mitch and Jerome, and now Ty. It was soon Jason's turn.

"They're all leaving — Ty's gone and I knew what I had done was right, it's just, just—!" Adam continued to sob furiously. Jason wanted to speak up, but now he couldn't even talk the difference between right or wrong — left or right; up and down.

Pills.

Jason topples foreword and lands on his face, his body numb and not moving. Adam screams; almost to the equivalence of Ty's screams. Jason didn't know whether or not he was on the ground, or on the ceiling. But frankly he didn't care right now — his mind was stale as bread.

Adam continues to scream. He continues to scream a lot until his lungs die out and his voice grows sore. Jason wants to console him, but now it's too late. He isn't the type to curse, but it was too fucking late.

Ty and Jason are gone — scratch that.

Seto, Ian, Quinten, Mitch, Jerome, Ty, and Jason, are all gone.

And Adam can't do a fucking thing.
