"He's in critical condition, that's why we put him in a medically induced coma. There was swelling in his brain, but over the course of a week or two, the swelling should decrease in size. We're doing this to prevent further damage and pain, I hope you understand this, sir."
Brice bit the inside of his cheek. He simply nodded, then heard the door to the hospital room quietly shut. It was quiet, he could only hear the heart monitor beeping and the machines shaking. It agonized him to see Seto in this condition.
Bandaged, burnt, bruised, and sliced, Seto was on the brink of death when Brice had gone to visit him one morning. He could remember the blood, the look on his face that screamed a silent "help me." The tears didn't stop from his face as he was stretched away into the emergency room. Seto was the type to hold everything in—he didn't want people to worry about him. Now Brice was worried—he couldn't sleep at night anymore.
Who would do this to him?
Brice wiped the tears away from his eyes. The hospital door had opened again—the doctor had only left for a couple minutes. Brice turned around in his chair; the two made awkward eye contact. The Australian was the first to speak, his words swift and not hesitant.
"Who did this to him?"
The doctor frowned, thinking for a moment, "Ah. It was a man by the name of Tyler Ellis, a suppose boyfriend I believe. He's serving a life sentence in jail."
The past few days came flashing back before his eyes.
All the drinking, all his suffering, all the sleepless nights. Ty—that bastard was behind it all along. Brice clenching his fist, turning back around in his chair and taking a glance towards Seto's body. Bandaged—so bandaged and wounded.
This would be for him.
"I'm sorry doctor," Brice shook as he stood up. "But without him there is no me."
He couldn't remember what action he had done next, but he found the doctor dead at his feet. Blood was splattered on the wall, his fists, his clothes, and his face. It was not a satisfying action; it made him sick in the stomach. The nurse came in, followed by more employees going to pin down the blond. The police came—Brice was going to jail now.
I'll go to jail, Brice thought to himself, then I'll kill off that bastard once and for all.
It wasn't long until the next day had came. His sentence wasn't nearly as long—he was only serving twenty years in prison. It was all going so quickly—his heart pulsated with joy having the acknowledgement that the one who caused Seto pain would be dead in a few hours.
"The new guy wants to see you in the courtyard," Brice overheard a conversation as he headed out.
Perfect.
He waited there, patiently. He recognized Ty from a distance; messy hair, pale skin, and red eyes that were complimented by the orange inmate attire he had worn. Ty smirked, strolling up to Brice.
"I didn't expect to see you here," Ty sneered. "Come to get revenge?"
Brice clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, "Why—why would you do that?"
"Don't you know? Love—love dies. He deserved to suffer, and as I can see you're his new toy. He'll drop you like he had done to me. But now, it's over now, you're just going to waste my time."
The conversation between them was short. Ty went to walk away. Brice felt the anger boiling within him—the tears spilling from his blue eyes.
"I'll—" Brice shook furiously. "I'll kill you!"
He took a leap at the other male, punching him in the back of the head. Ty toppled foreword, his head hitting the pavement. Blood splatter. Brice couldn't control himself as he punched again. The crack that was heard from Ty's skull was sickening—yet so satisfying.
"Prisoner fight spotted in the courtyard. Units to the courtyard."
Brice looked up as he saw the guards rushing his way. His arms were grabbed at, and abruptly he was pulled back from Ty's body. Ty didn't get back up—the amount of blood that was rushing out signified his death.
