The Hybrid, the Sorcerer

A thin sigh escapes his parted lips. His vision, once blurred with tears, is wiped away by the thumb of a certain blond with a never-ending, charismatic attitude.

"I suppose you could say that we did it," Brice acknowledges the victory, a subtle smirk spreading across his lips in the meanwhile. Seto rolls his eyes.

"Do you honestly believe it's a good idea to head back to Hybrid territory?" he annunciates with an over-exaggerated sigh.

"Huh?" the Hybrid replies, confused. "Why wouldn't it be?"

"Let me rephrase that — quite frankly, do you even believe it's a good idea for me to go back to Hybrid territory?"

"Oh, right," Brice releases a nervous chuckle, ruffling the hair of the younger. "You may not be seen as a king, but it is your right as my husband."

The two stood in silence for a moment, admiring the statue carved of Seto's once breathing father. He sat atop his throne, cape being draped down from the left while the crown perfectly resting on his mop of black hair (in this case, perfectly marbled impression of hair). It was to be destroyed in a ceremony by the new Headmaster on the next morning, which was surely a bittersweet conclusion to their journey of so-called Rebellion. With the destruction of lives and losses stretched miles upon miles, they were lucky to be breathing to see this moment.

Regardless, they've succeeded, despite the costs it has brought them.

"What are you doing?" Brice questions upon hearing the familiar casting of spells, whooshing beneath the brunet's feet. Panic ensues as Seto, unaware, gazes down to his feet and to the increasingly worrying size of the hole, once dime sized, growing in the concrete.

"This isn't of my workings—!" Seto shouts as the portal consumes him, then immediately closes. Where his husband once stood was now a card, no bigger than a pocket watch, sitting there. Brice, hesitantly, pokes it with his umbrella.

"Seto?" he whispers with fear. "Seto?"

Upon following the mysterious address, he finds himself, standing in the middle of levitating bookcases and knowledge unimaginable to the Hybrid mind. As much as he wouldn't like to admit, Hybrid society could be more advanced, but never as intelligent as the Sorcerers.

"It was nice seeing you, again, Brice," the newest heir to the Headmaster's throne, Isaac, smiles kindly. He lets out his hand, to which Brice takes and shakes it firmly.

"Someone as competent as you would be a great Headmaster," Brice compliments, smiling.

Isaac shrugs, coughing briefly, "Never as smart as your husband, of course. It's a shame he didn't want to take over the throne."

"After all the trauma he's been through, I suppose it's for the best!" Kyle calls out from amongst the mess of books circling about.

"Regardless, I'll be leaving now," the Hybrid clarifies, clearing his throat, "and, by any chance, do you know what happened to Seto?"

Isaac widens his eyes in brief shock, then regains his composure, "Oh, right! My apologies."

He circles his hand momentarily, muttering an unintelligible chant. The portal, a color tinged with purple and black, opens. A certain, distressed brunet comes falling onto the wooden floor with a ear-piercing thump onto his stomach. Seto lifts up his head, getting a scope of his surroundings.

"I have been falling..." he huffs in an angrily shout, "...for over thirty minutes!"

Brice helps him to his feet, pressing his lips to the top of his head in a loving kiss. Seto, brushing the kiss off with his anger, begins to emit sparks of purple off his skin. Hands glowing, he aims flames towards Isaac.

"Just because you took one of my eyes and my lungs, does not mean I can whoop your fucking ass!" Seto shouts, dashing towards him.

"I think it's time for the two of you to take your leave," Isaac nervously chuckles, slashing a vertical portal through their paths.

Back to where they started, Seto's leaping dash becomes nothing but a frightened scream and a vigorous topple forward onto the concrete, once more, hitting his forehead. Brice stands there, arms crossed and chuckling, wondering how lucky he was to end up with such a Sorcerer.
