A Normal Morning At The Solace Household

Brice woke up that morning with a pounding headache and an odd quench for bagels. He got out of bed, lazily slipping on his slippers and shuffled across the room. He opened the door, figuring the brunet was in the kitchen. He called out.

"Hey Seto can you make me a bagel—! Oh."

And thus, he found Seto laying on the floor in a daze. Their golden retriever was licking the brunet's face as he just laid there—in the middle of the hallway. Brice sighed, poking at the brunet. What was it, the third time this month?

"Seto, get up, the floor's dirty."

"Carry me?" Seto rolled and laid on his back, reaching for Brice like a child. The blond rolled his eyes as he picked up Seto. He was slender, thin—wasn't really much of a challenge. Plus, Brice did work out—a lot.

"What's with you and floors," Brice huffed as he took a seat on the couch. He set Seto on his lap, and in response the brunet curled up into a ball. He didn't move, Brice was stuck there and having a quench for a bagel.

"Just occurred to me that we're all going to die someday."

"Seto, please, stop having these existential crises—"

"And we're all going to die alone and be reborn."

"You don't know whether or not if we're going to be reborn—"

"And then we all have to go through school again and that's just pretty much bullshit."

Brice chuckled. Their golden retriever ran into the living room and sat on Brice's feet. Yup, no point in moving now. He slouched and got comfortable.

"How long are you going to sit on me?" The Australian asked, rolling his eyes.

"Forever if possible," Seto replied.

And that's how Brice started off this particular morning. It didn't really phase him, this happened a lot. He knew that Seto would eventually fall asleep, and Brice would awkwardly have to pick him up and lay him down on the couch, then tuck him in with a fluffy, purple blanket like a child. He didn't really mind it, everything was worth it if it involved his happiness.

So, Seto eventually fell asleep. Brice picked him up, laid him back down on the couch, and grabbed the fluffy, purple blanket from their golden retriever's mouth (who pretty much knew what would happen next as well) and tucked the brunet in. He looked peaceful when he was asleep; his hair messed up, his face relaxed, and his soft snores that were quite pleasant.

Brice strolled into the kitchen and grabbed a bagel from the fridge. He popped it into the toaster, then set it to medium. He didn't mind if it burned, it would taste good either way. He always went to go prepare two cups of coffee, Seto always drank coffee in the morning. Brice was still trying to get use to the taste of coffee. He didn't really like it, the taste was too bitter for him—even with the added sweeteners.

The bagel he wanted eventually finished, and the two cups of coffee were finished as well. He grabbed the bagel, burning his fingers in the process, and put it into his mouth. Yeah, that burned too. He grabbed the cups and quickly went to the dining table and set them down. He took the bagel out of his own mouth, taking a bite in the process.

Ah yes, the taste of tasteless, stale bagels in the morning and a drink he had little to no interest in.

"I smell coffee," and that's when the brunet rushed to the scene. Being tiny and energetic, he grabbed the piping hot cup and began drinking it.

"Since when were you awake?" Brice asked.

"Ever since I smelled coffee," Seto replied, setting down his finished cup.

Brice blinked, "You already finished the—"

Seto simply nodded his head.

"God, you're so adorable," Brice muttered, ruffling the brunet's hair. It was soft and silky. "I'm just lucky that I could spend every morning wth you."

"And I'm lucky just to be married to you—the Brice Purton Solace," Seto replied.

Brice smiled as he kissed the brunet's forehead.
