The temple was located on the opposite end of the island from where the Sunny was docked. This part of the island was abandoned maybe 100 years back and was later made the base of the BB, where they keep all of their 'merchandise' before selling.
I've made myself familiar with this place ten years ago when I was only seven. It was a year after my family received the letter telling us that my mother had died. Our family fell apart at the news, my father took up binge drinking, my older sister ran away, and my brother became depressed.
As a way of 'bringing the family back together', my dad took us on a vacation to this island. He didn't stop drinking though and would walk into the hotel at three in the morning, drunk. My brother started yelling and they got in an argument, and my father hit him. I got mad, and joined in on the yelling before storming out.
That's where Téras found me. I didn't know that I would never see my family again.
Téras brought me back to the temple where his group, the BB's holed up in, they burned their mark into my hands and kept me in a holding cell for few months until a man called the 'Master' came by and bought me. I was so glad to get out of that hell that I didn't even try to escape.
Master raised me like his own, he never yelled and was a better father than my own.
Then when I turned 18 he let me loose. Built a boat, gave me a Devils Fruit and Reeth to watch over me. He was letting me leave to search the grand line for the Memory.
I came across the Straw Hats on my journey and joined them.
And now, I stood back here at the beginning, in front of the same temple from ten years ago.
And I couldn't be more terrified.
It looked the same as before, old cracked stone held together by vines. A grand waterfall started at the very top of the temple that ran down canals and into the lake surrounding the temple. A large crumbling bridge was the only thing connecting the temple to land.
There were two entrances into the BB base that I knew of. One was through the front entrance of the temple, that one's normally guarded. The other entrance is a secret to only high authorities knew of, And the people Téras brought in, located under the lake.
By the looks of the unconscious guards at the temple entrance, is say that's the way Luffy went. Which means he's taking the hard way to the crew.
The holding cells, where the crew most likely is, only has two entrances. One directly from under the lake, and another in the loading room which is under Téras' office, which is where the temple entrance leads to.
Luffy has to go through Téras, then the guardsmen, and then the prison master.
If I'm lucky, BB will be entirely focused of Luffy that I can sneak into the holding cells undetected and get the crew out.
Hopefully Luffy can hold out long enough for reinforcements.
"If I remember correctly..." I muttered on my hands and knees, running my hand along the underside of the bridge.
My hand caught on a notch and I stopped, "bingo~" I hooked my fingers into the stone and pulled.
I jumped up and away from the bridge as it began to rumble.
There was a click and the sound of gears turning before the ground under the bridge split open to reveal a long dark corridor. Stone guards appeared all around the opening to keep the water from pooling in. A staircase unfolded from the underside of the bridge and extended down into the dark corridor.
