(josh's POV)

"We should tell Brendon," I say suddenly, looking up from my phone and leaning back against the couch.

Tyler looks up at me from his phone. "Now? Brendon?"

"Yes, Brendon. C'mon I'm dying to tell someone and Brendon's reaction will be priceless."

Tyler sighs and removes his legs from where they were previously strewn across my lap, moving to sit next to me. "Facetime him."

The phone rings a few times before connecting.

"Josh, Tyler? What's up? I was just about to roll one!" Brendon answers cheerily.

"Hold off on that blunt," I laugh.

"Whoa, I have a feeling there's news coming my way," He sighs and looks at us with a fake-exasperated expression. "Is Tyler pregnant?"

Tyler turns red and doubles over in a fit of laughter.

"Close," Tyler chokes out between laughs.

Brendon's face contorts to confusion. "What do you mean 'close'?"

I give Tyler a look, asking permission to break the news to Brendon.

"Okay, vow yourself to secrecy," I command.

"Done," Brendon nods.

"Tyler and I are dating."

Brendon blinks a couple times and shakes his head. "You're- you're what?"

I wait for him to process.

"Are you serious?" I see a smile begging to take over his lips.

"Yes," Tyler cuts in, "Here's proof-"

Tyler takes my face in his hands and kisses me hard before pulling back and smiling to Brendon.

Brendon laughs loudly. "This is the greatest fucking day of my life. I don't even know what to say, I'm happy for you gays."

My heart bubbles in my chest at the sight of Tyler's happiness with the positive reaction from Brendon.

"So I take it you and Jenna have gotten a divorce?" Brendon asks Tyler.

"Um, not yet," Tyler looks down shamefully.

"Oh," Brendon says with an expression of understanding, "Your families don't know yet, do they?"

"No, they don't," I answer.

"Ah. Well when were you planning on telling them?"

Tyler purses his lips and thinks for a moment. "Well, Jenna and I haven't exactly agreed to divorce, yet, at least. I just never thought I'd get a divorce. It's all so hard to process.

I frown at the look of exhaustion in Tyler's eyes.

"God, that fucking sucks, man. This shit is an emotional roller coaster. Now I need that blunt."
