(tyler's POV)
"Here we are with Tyler and Josh from Twenty One Pilots!", the interviewer says over-excitedly, looking into the camera.
"Hi, this is Josh," I begin, pointing at Josh, who's sitting to my right,"and I'm Josh's friend."
Josh smiles at the camera- the full teeth smile with squinty eyes and a scrunchy nose.
"So, you boys are here to perform at the festival tonight, how are you feeling?", asks the interviewer, whose name I recall as Laura? Or maybe it was Lauren, whatever.
I look over at Josh. We have this kind of 'code' for interviews. If one of us doesn't feel up to talking at the moment, we give the other a knowing look. We've never really talked about it, but I guess it's just always made sense.
"Super pumped," he answers; I nod.
"I bet. Well we had some fans submit questions for you," Laura-Lauren replies as she unfolds a piece of paper with a list of questions, "Okay- Are you guys working on a new album?"
"Yes," Josh says. I give him an 'I think I'm okay to talk now' look.
"Yeah, we spend most of our 'free time' on tour writing, tossing around ideas...", I add on.
"That's exciting! Do you have an idea of when we can hear this album?", she says.
"Not quite, we want this album to be the best we can make it since Blurryface did so well", I answer.
These interviews can be boring and repetitive. I let Josh take the reins for some of the following questions.
"Alright, our last fan question: Is Joshler real?"
Josh and I laugh.
"Wouldn't they like to know", Josh says with the laugh still on his face.
"You know, there's a lot of fan-fiction out there somewhere on the internet...", I say with a shrug.
"So you've read them too!", Josh says.
The three of us laugh.
"But really", Josh says once the laughter dies down, "Joshler isn't real, sorry kids."
We laugh again. Something about the way he said that kinda twisted my gut... What? We joke about "us" all the time. It's normal. I must be nervous about the performance or something. I push the thoughts out of my mind and continue in the laughter, hoping to get out of this room as soon as possible.
