I sat with Felicity in the security car as press tried to sneak pictures through the blacked out windows.
“So, are you going to tell me what upset you?” I asked Felicity as she looked out the window at the bright flashes from cameras. She spilled out the whole tale of who she had met when I was housing sitting for her. She had been out with Niall Horan. Restraining myself from gawping like an idiot, I listened to how Niall and she had been meeting in secret for months. I was slightly surprised that she hadn’t told me - we tell each other everything, but it was for the better that no one knew. The surprises kept on coming though. She pulled out a little box from her bag. It snapped open to reveal a glimmering diamond ring.
“I said yes.” Felicity stated simply with next to no emotion.
“So, Mrs Horan, you were upset because?”
“Because I’ve waited since I was about thirteen for Harry Styles to ask me out. Now when he finally does, I get engaged to his best friend.”
“You’re better with Niall; Harry’s a player. It shows that you mean a lot to Niall, if he didn’t even tell Harry that you were going out, never mind engaged. I suggest you have nothing more to do with Harry, now that you’re with Niall. Rumours get around quickly these days. Are you going to tell the press soon about you and Niall?”
“Good plan. Ok. We’ll tell the press first. Would you talk to Harry for me, please?”
Why me? Why do I have to talk to Harry?
“Ok, sure.” I replied idiotically.
The next day, the press seemed to completely forget about the meeting with Harry and instead headlined about Felicity and Niall’s engagement.
A/N: I'm really stuck on a title for this chapter. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful to hear them :)
