The new Mrs Horan and Jade had changed overnight. They went from Summer to Autumn, in the space of a few hours. Jade and I were never the best of friends, but since she had that brief loss of confidence, she acted as if we were the best of friends. After the talk with Jade, earlier, I went upstairs and changed into my day clothes. Most of the guests were going that morning, but I decided to make the most of my trip out to Ireland and do some sightseeing. When I came back downstairs, Felicity was acting strangely as well. She was as quiet as a mouse. She wouldn’t speak at all to Niall. I decided, since I had known her the longest, that I would attempt to talk to her.

“Fliss, you can look a bit happy. You’re finally married, and the dating game, you always said you hated, is finally over.” She just gave a brief smile. “What’s up with you?”

“We… I… Last night didn’t go so well.”

“What? The party?”

“No, when we all went to bed.”

“Oh. I see. Well, that doesn’t really matter, does it?”

“It’s all weird between us.”

“You’re just in a bad mood. People tend to feel bad the day after a bad patch. Remember when I told Harry I never wanted to see him again? I was in a bad mood. Then you’ll realise that you were just overreacting and everything will turn out fine.”

“Except you hated Harry for months after, because you made a mistake.” Fliss was right. She realised that she had upset me by that comment, and apologised.

“I admit that I behaved stupidly after, but the point is that it’ll soon pass. You just both need to let it go. Come and talk to Niall now, while I’m here. We’ll both go over and then I’ll leave you two to talk it out.” I motioned for Felicity to come with me, and she followed, keeping her head low, like she was in trouble.

“Niall, come talk to Felicity somewhere quiet.” He followed us over to a quiet corner of the lobby.

“I’ll leave you alone now.” I said withdrawing from their private conversation. I was getting a bit fed up of having to deal with other people’s relationship problems. I went to get myself some breakfast, seeing as I had earned it. Harry wandered in alone, then spotted me sitting eating some peaches.

“Hey.” He said sitting down on the chair across the four person table.

“Hello.” I replied. “So, what are you doing today?”

“Not much.”

“So you’re staying for another day?”

“Yeah. Why? Please don’t say you’re going as well.”

“No. I’m here for another day.”

“Good. Er… I mean… Yeah. What are you doing today then?”

“I’m seeing some stuff in Dublin. What are your plans?”

“Er… I don’t know.”

“You probably shouldn’t do too much, you know, ‘cause you hurt your head, and passed out.” I really don’t like people injuring their head.

“You’re probably right, again.” He pulled his chair back and reached for some bread off the buffet table. “You’re not going into Dublin alone, are you?”

“Why? Is it against the law?” I said sarcastically.

“No, just dangerous.” He tore a piece off the slice of bread and leaned back in his chair.

“I’ll be fine. I have security with me, at a distance.”

“I could come with you.” He broached carefully.
