Chapter 2: First Class

Miya POV

I am changing to my white school uniform. After that I unpack my stuff and place them where I want them. After a while I open the last box. This box is filled with different masks. I put them on the shelf in order. Color, type and form. I choose the white cat mask and put it on, then I tie my long black hair into two pigtails. I look at myself in the mirror satisfied with my look, before heading to Kaien's office since I use that room as a freespace when I'm not outside.

«Miya you know. You can go out to the garden behind the school if you want some fresh air.» I look up from my book and nod, then walk out to the garden. I look around to make sure no one is around. When I have made sure no one is around. I hide my presence completely. Then I take off my mask and breath in the fresh air. After 15 minutes I put my mask on and stop hiding my presence, then I walk back to Kaien's office.

«Ah, Miya I'm glad you're back. I have a task for you while you wait for the class to start.» I can see him smirk behind his glasses. I nod and walk out of the room, since I already read his thoughts. "Keep an eye on the supernaturals in the town. We don't want anyone to be hurt or troubles to occur." I put on a black cloak, a black mask and transports to the town. I transports myself to a tree where the leaves hide me. I close my eyes to check if I can feel any magic, inhuman aura or presence. After a couple of hours I had been through the whole town. I transports to my room and take off my cloak and change mask.

I look at the clock. It's still 30 minutes until the night class begins. I decide to draw a design for a new mask in my sketchbook. I begin to think about shape, color and material. "Cat, red, gold and wood." I begin to draw. After a while I had finished the design. I look at the clock. 5 minutes left. I put the design on the desk. I change to the uniform, then take my bag and leave.

I am on my way to the night class when I bump into someone. It's Yuuki. «Oh, I'm sorry Yuuki.» I help her up. «It's okay Miya-neesan. By the way. Do you need help to find the class.» I smile under the mask. «That would be great Yuuki, thank you.» She smile and begin to walk. I follow behind her. «Miya-neesan I've wanted to ask you something for a while.» I look at Yuuki. «What is it Yuuki?» She turn around. «What are you? You've never told me and the headmaster won't say it to me.» I knew she would ask again. I put my index finger on my mask. «That's a secret~» She pout, but smile again and continue to walk.

A few minutes later we come to a place where there were screaming girls. Yuuki wave her hand before helping Zero. I sigh. "Why is everyone so loud?" I wait for the night class and walk with them to the class. I introduced myself again and give Yagari a hug, before walking to an empty seat in the back. I take note of everything that Yagari says even when I already know it. After the class ends I walk out of the classroom.

Kaname POV

I look at Miya walking. She really is something if she got a hug from Yagari-sensei. «Aido.» Aido walk to me. «Yes, Kaname-sama.» I nod to the exit where Miya just left. «Follow her.» He nod and walk fast after her.

Aido POV

I understand Kaname-sama's suspicion. She didn't give any information about herself other than age and name. I know that Kaname-sama is busy to find out where that powerful aura and presence came from. I shake my head and follow Miya in the shadows. She doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. I watch her behind a tree while she is playing with some fireflies. «I know you're there Hanabusa Aido-san.» A mystic yet melodic voice said. I step out from my hiding spots behind the tree a little surprised on how she could sense me when I'm hiding my presence. 

«Did Kaname Kuran send you.» It wasn't said like a question, but I still nod. «Why are you being so disrespectfull towards Kaname-sama, but not to me?» She turn around and look at me. Her face was hidden behind the mask, making her even more suspicious. «Because I don't hate you. I usually don't like other supernatural beings, but I don't hate you or Zero.» She pat her side wanting me to sit there. I walk to her and carefully sit down. She immediately lie her head on my lap. «W-what are you doing?!» She looked very tired in my lap. «I'm tired, being awake on nights and days are tiring.» Her skin is pale and looks really soft. Her long hair looks like black silk threads since the two long pigtails is spread out.

Not long after she fell asleep. I could see the night beginning to lighten. Just then I felt a familiar presence. «Yuuki!» I whispered not wanting to wake Miya. «Hanabusa-kun? And Miya-neesan?!» She whispers the last part. «Yuuki, help me get her to her room.» She nod, but stop in her tracks. «She aren't going to her room. The headmaster said that Miya-neesan have to come to his office right after class ends.» I nod. "Now I understand why she is awake on days and nights."

After getting her to the headmasters office I meet Kaname-sama. He ask me if I got anything. I shake my head. «Only that she almost doesn't sleep. Since she has class at night and work from the headmaster at day.» I feel my face growing a little hot recalling the incident. «Very well.» After that he walked to the headmaster's office. I walk back to the Moon dorm to get some sleep.
