"Kahawai, what happened? Why do you look like that?"
"Makuahine, I can explain! I was just exploring and-"
"No. You are no longer my kaikamahine. Listen closely. Take a boat to Lalotai. Jump in to the water, and do not come back."
"But, I-"
"Go away, ano e oia."It was nearly 2,000 years ago when my mother pretty much banished me to the depths of Lalotai, the realm of monsters. She had even called me a monster. Me, her 12 year old daughter, for something I could not control. My normal human legs had merged together to make my lower body a fishtail. Knowing I could never return, I complied to what my mother had said, and started my journey to Lalotai, the realm of monsters. Days, maybe even a week later, I had not made it to the entrance to Lalotai, and I was just laying there, in my boat. I had abandoned all hope of making it there, and I had excepted death. Suddenly, my boat started moving, and I heard a voice.
"Kahawai. I am the ocean goddess, Wai Akua. I have chosen you as my vessel to protect mankind, along with my other demigoddesses. Can you do that?"
Knowing I could not say no to a goddess, I nodded my head, though I didn't really think she wanted me has one of her vessels. I was wrong. Thousands of years went by, and I was still protecting mankind and serving my goddess. During that time, I had met Maui, the egotistical demigod, and quite a bit later, Tamatoa, a giant crab who was even more so. But this is still my story, so sit back and enjoy the show!
