A week had gone by, and I was worried that Maui had forgotten about me. My fears were put to rest, because today, Maui had gone down into Lalotai to see me.

"Maui! It's great to see you." I said to him.

"I'm here as well." said Tama, making a gesture with his claw that could be defined as waving.

"Great. Listen, Kahi, I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner. I've just been busy with-"

"With the humans? I'm well aware. But I don't blame you. Being a demigod is a full time job." I told him in response. "I'm glad you wanted to check on me, but nothing has changed. I'm doing just fine, and Tama and I have been becoming great friends. But, Maui, I'm thinking about staying here for just a little longer."

"That's fine." He replied. The area was silent for a few seconds, then Tama turned to us.

"Guys, get behind me. Now!" He said, and we followed these instructions just in time. A giant creature that resembled a common salamander jumped at the equally sized crab. I was scared, but also surprised, as they seemed to know each other.

"I'm surprised, Tama. Two humans in your den that are still alive? I think that's a record!" the creature said.

"Maybe, but at least I don't try to kill you every week." Tama replied, sarcastically. He seemed so proud of himself, then the creature whispered something to him, and Tama's eyes reflected a mental deterioration. Then, he started losing. I wouldn't stand there to watch him get killed, and my trident couldn't do much against a Lalotaian creature, then, I remembered. Wai Akua told me that, whenever in need, a demigoddess of the water can call upon the forces of the ocean itself. I did just that. Within seconds, I had turned into a translucent water being, and began to fight.

"What? No way I'm getting beaten by a puny mortal!" the creature said.

"That's where you're wrong. I'm not puny." I said while striking a blow to the creature's chest. "And I'm not mortal." Then, the creature left, quietly saying something about how they couldn't believe that I beat them.

"Kahi, that was amazing!" Tama said, with pure excitement in his face. "I didn't know you could do that!"

"Thanks." I replied. I suddenly fell to the ground.
