Chapter 20

It had still been a while and Got7 was still in hiding. It seemed like all the rumors and the hate had gone down. The memes were still circulating and fake meme accounts were out there to put the bad situation in the past. Bambam of course was now getting in more dance and practice time, along with yugyeom. The two seemed closer than before and more often times then not, they were seen together. Talking, joking, laughing just like normal teenagers. Jackson and Mark had both finally gotten out of their room after almost a whole month. They all seemed to be living an almost normal life. The group was getting back into the swing of things. Everything seemed fine except.... youngjae and jaebum.

The two seemed more distant that ever. Time after time it seemed like the more they practiced the farther they would get. The group was healing but.... was it healing properly?

"Youngjae you can't just place yourself in a different area that's not how the dance was." Youngjae groaned at the words of his hyung. "Jaebum-hyung i don't care! I just want to go back to bed." "Well youngjae-ah you can't. We need to do something instead of doing nothing all day and sleep." Youngjae turned his back and frowned. "What is your problem youngjae? You were never like this. What happened?" Youngjae shook his head. "I got tired. Nothing else. Now if you will excuse me i'm going to go to my room." The other stormed off, leaving the leader in a sense of confusion and sadness. Jaebum didn't understand what was going on. He didn't know what he was doing wrong. So he turned to the one thing he knew he could trust. Google.

He typed in his question in the search engine and pressed enter. Suddenly thousands of articles popped up and jaebum clicked on the first one.

Your soulmate suddenly doesn't want to be with you.
Usually when you find your soulmate, you and them are supposed to be together for the rest of your days. Of course this isn't always the case. When the tattoos are complete there will be a period of time where you and your soulmate may actually develop resentment and maybe even a hatred. But if these feelings go on for too long without acknowledgement, then eventually one of you will get sick. Or fatally wounded. These are things that not only scientists but others like psychologists have noticed as well. Your best shot is to give you and your soulmate some time away from each other to cool off. Let the conversation happen naturally. If these feelings happened after let's say... a failed confession, then you need to tell that person without hesitation and second thought. If anyone interrupts you the connection will become toxic. You'll only have 3 times to confess. If you fail the last attempt, you or your soulmate will be lost and the connection will break, potentially killing one of you.

After hours of reading the same information from official medical sites and even tumblr blogs, jaebum felt his chest collapse in on itself. He couldn't lose youngjae. He could even fathom the thought of living in a world without him. He had just spent almost 3 years with his soulmate and now it turns out he's about to lose him. He looked at his phone and reached out to grab it.

Jaebum:
Hey youngjae, want to go out tonight?

Youngjae:
Huh? Sure. Where do you want to go?

Jaebum:
I was thinking we could go to the amusement park

Youngjae:
That sounds pretty fun actually. What time  are we going?

Jaebum:
Around 6

Youngjae:
Alright hyung! See you in a few hours.

Jaebum mentally did a backflip. He was glad that youngjae would have fun and now it was up to him to make the rest of the night go well.

Because if it doesn't.... he could lose youngjae.

It was finally time to go. The two came out and looked at each other. Youngjae was wearing an oversized pink hoodie and some black jeans and jaebum was wearing a read and black plaid hoodie and some black jeans. Their shoes however were matching. Bright firetruck red converse. Memories of dream knight flashed into his mind and he mentally groaned.
"Wow hyung you look good tonight." Jaebum smiled his usually shy smile. "So do you youngjae-ah. Shall we go?" Youngjae nodded, his stoic expression turning into it's usual light and happy one. Jaebum mentally sighed in relief and began leaving.

"Hyung! Hyung! Can we get matching headbands?" Youngjae tugged on jaebum's sleeve and pointed towards the store. Jaebum nodded and followed youngjae. They looked through the headbands and saw two that they really liked. The devil and angel headbands. Once bought, they walked out of the store and got in line into a ride. The two of them got into the rollercoaster cart and put the headbands in jaebums bag. "Are you sure you can handle this youngjae?" Yougjae scoffed playfully and smirked. "Can you handle this hyung?" Jaebum smirked back. "You're on."

It almost seemed too perfect. The whole thing. Going to the amusement park, watching the sunset from the feris wheel, walking the bridge side when the words were lit up and the city was finally alive. Jaebum felt himself fall even more for for the younger and it made him even more scared to confess. But he knew that if he didn't do it sooner, he would lose his sunshine. "Y'know hyung.. i've been feeling very bad lately. This is kinda just what i needed." Jaebum smiled. "I'm glad i could help out." There was an uncomfortable silence for a minute before the singer began to speak. "I just wanted to say i'm sorry for how i acted hyung. I'm sorry for acting so spoiled and just absolutely awful." The leader turned to the maknae pulling him into a hug. "It's okay. We all have our days when we get like that. I can't blame you." He felt the younger pull away and step onto the railing as if he were looking out. "Sometimes i wish i didn't have so many bad things in my life... you know?" Jaebum creeped cautiously towards youngjae. "Yeah... that's understandable." Youngjae turned his head out to the river and then ghosted the words with his hand.
"People love you more than you know"
Youngjae sat up on the railing, jaebum starting to relax a bit. "Hyung," jaebum turned to see youngjae smile pathetically. "I think i know what you were trying to say all those times bambam had interrupted and......" he let go of the railing. "I love you too."
