Chapter 21

Jaebum's grip was slipping on the singer. He looked around and he couldn't see if anyone was on the bridge so he gave up.
"SOMEONE ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME"
Jaebum adjusted his grip on youngjae and panicked. Just when he thought no one heard, he felt the presence of two other people by his side. A nice young couple who looked to be new parents. They grabbed youngjae by the arms and jaebum reached for his torso, finally getting the boy over the railing. Toppling onto the concrete, jaebum hit his head on the ground as youngjae fell ontop of him. He didn't care if he himself had gotten hurt or not, he just wanted youngjae safe. The leader began crying, holding and cradling the boy close to him and not letting his grip loosen. "Oh my god is he alright?" The woman asked "we should get them to a hospital." The man said. But jaebum didn't want to move. He didn't want to leave the younger. He couldn't leave youngjae. Not now.

"He will have to stay here and be put under watch. Just for a couple of days. If you want you can stay here with him." Jaebum nodded. He was shaking to his core and couldn't find the words. For anything. He looked at the angelic face and saw the patches on his cheek from where he had hit his face. He was so tired but he didn't want to leave the boy he didn't want to sleep. "I want you to know choi youngjae, i love you. Im so in love with you and im so glad that we're soulmates. You make me so happy and even if i don't express my feelings enough, please know that." Youngjae's face twitched a little but then relaxed. Jaebum began to hum softly, a song his mom used to song to him. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know jae, how much i love you......-" jaebum cuddled himself close to the younger, tears rolling down his face. "- please dont take... my sunshine...away."

He felt the younger move against him and looked around the room. "W-where am i? Hyung... why are we here? Weren't we just on a date?" Youngjae tried getting up only for jaebum to push him back down. "Yeah but uh... there was a hit and run incident... i didnt pull you out of the way in time and you ended up getting scraped up pretty bad..." youngjae nodded and smiled softly, making jaebum's heart do flips. "I'm glad you stayed though. Now i get to-.... never mind." Jaebum looked at the other and frowned. "No. Youngjae.. say it." Youngjae sighed softly, reluctant to speak. "Now.... i get to be with you-" Youngjae looked down and turned his head away from jaebum. "Youngjae... what's going on-" "Jaebum hyung... I like you. I wasn't sure because i was still so confused and so scared and just... And then i got hit by that car and suddenly i don't know..... i guess it clicked. A-and i know that you may have a soulmate who will love you and i'm technically breaking the hypothetical laws around that but i just i can't stand being without you... I'm sorry hyung." Youngjae felt his salty tears stinging his eyes. He didn't realize that he had just unleashed almost 3 years worth of unsaid 'i love yous', imagined intimate moments, nightmares that would wake him up in cold sweat; the feelings that got him here in the first place. "Youngjae..." The singer turned his head to jaebum who had showed his wrist to the other. "Of course i have a soulmate." Youngjae's tearing began streaming down his face. "I know. You need to be with them." Jaebum placed his forehead against the young singer's and smiled sympathetically. "I am with them youngjae-" the singer pulled jaebum closer until they were centimeters aways from eachother's faces. "It's you." Jaebum closed the distance between them and kissed youngjae softly and sweetly. "You're my soulmate. From the first moment we both met eachother i knew." Youngjae's grip on his hyung's shirt was tight. He couldn't look at the leader, he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"So...... what about our tattoos?"
Jaebum looked at youngjae a little confused. "What about em?"
"The lyrics were lyrics to a song that hadn't been written.."
Jaebum chuckled.
"I guess it was just gods way of telling us that... we really were meant to be."
"That's so cheesy hyung."
"Shut up youngjae you're supposed to be in pain."
"Im in less pain knowing that i'll be by your side forever."
"Now that's cheesy"
"Shut up."
"I am your HYUNG. RESPECT ME."
"No.. you're my soulmate."
"Hey youngjae?"
"Yes hyung?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
