As of today, twelve years
Twelve years ago you brought me into this world
For that gift
The greatest gift I've ever gotten
I love you
Sure, we have our fights
Our dislikes
But at the end of the day, we're family
You both seem so happy
In the end everything turned out great
After the first date
This is what you became
You both became role models
You taught me how to be myself
I'm still young
I'm still growing up
But for now...
I just want to say I love you
Even when I'm mad
Or sad
I'm still happy
That I've got parents like you
Eventually I'll be older
Eventually life will be different
But I like living for the now
So here's to twelve years!
