"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
I opened my eyes and sat up as fast as I could, to see my brother doing some type of dance in my own room.
"What are you doing you dipwad," I shouted at Chris. He looked up and continued to dance, obviously as excited as a little child. "I have awesome news," he started. "But you have to promise not totell anyone, okay?" I nodded my head and smiled, tihnking it probably wouldn't be very important.
"Guess who's going to be an ant," he asked me. I looked at him; confused at his questions. "You are," Chris told me excitedly. I stared at him in utter shock.
"How did this happen," I asked him, while he started another one of his dances. "Well you see when a man and women love eachother-" "Chris, I mean by what happened?!" He looked at me, noticing how serious I was, and sat down next to me.
"Look, I came here two months ago to find this house, and I saw my girlfriend, and because we missed eachother so much... we did things. and now, I'm a father." We both sat there in silence for a moment, until I broke the silence.
"Is it a boy or a girl," Iasked while smiling softly. Chris grinned and stood up again. "We're not exactly sure yet, shes supposed to find out today." I nodded in approval and started to stand, and collected clotoes to put on for the day.
"Hey, do we have food for breakfast," I asked him while picking out a shirt. "Yes we do, I'm making pancakes," Chris said with pride. "Shouldn't you check on these pancakes," I asked him. "Oh crap!" He said while running downstairs to the kitchen. I laughed and went to take my shower.
When I arrived downstairs Chris handed me a plate of half burned pancakes and a glass of orange juice.
"I'm surprised, I said while sitting down at the table. "With what," Chris asked me. "You didn't burn the orange juice," I said with a laugh. he rolled his eyes and sat down with his pancakes. We talked about the baby, and decided that third room could be for the child. Then, Chris said he had to go find out what his future child will be, and I told him I'll just take a walk. After he left, I cleaned the dishes, pulled on a pair of shoes, and walked out of the house, locking the door behind me.
I looked around, noticing how wonderful the day looked. I smiled widely and started walking.
SPLASH!
Rain water poured down like tidal waves, leaving me soaked from head to toe. I tried to look around, but my hair was plastered on my face. I sat down on the steps of my house, and tried to think, but the rain water was so distracting. I looked over and saw Paul walking towards me, holding an umbrella.
"Hey, what are you doing," he asked while sitting next to me. "I was going to go for a wal--" I suddenly sneezed in midsetence, feeling embarrassed because of my grandfather sounding sneeze. I then felt chills troughout my body, and my throat becoming sore.
"I think you have a cold," Paul said to me as I sneezed again. I nodded slowly, coughing in my hand. "Come on, you can come over to my house," Paul said. I shook my head while coughing more. "No, I don't want you getting sick," I said to him. He chuckled, and I looked at him as if he was insane.
"Only people who are new to Liverpool and get in the rain get these kinds of colds," Paul explained while standing up. He held down his hand, waiting for me to take it. I slowly took his hand, and he pulled me up.
"Oh, if you want you can meet my band today," Paul said, showing excitement. "Should I be scared," I asked nervously while sneezing. "Well.. No don't worry I'll protect you," Paul said while putting his arm around me. I was about to say something, but I sneezed again without notice.
"Don't worry, we're here now Sneezy," Paul said to me while opening the door, pushing me inside, following me, and shutting the door behind him.
"Sit down on the couch, I'll go get some blankets and make some tea," Paul said while going over to a closet. "Tea?" I asked him while sitting down. he looked at me, dropping several blanket to the floor.
"Yes, tea," he said while walking over to me. "You must be sicker than I thought," he said while bringing over three blankets. He put his hand on my forehead for a second, looking focused. I looked up at him, waiting patiently. "You're not..." He looked down into my eyes, his face only a few inches from mine. He stared at me, obviously wanting to move closer, but for seem scared.
"You're temperature seems normal," He said while putting a blanket on me. I smiled softly, then sneezed. "I'll go make some tea now," Paul said while walking to the kitchen. I pulled the blanket over my head, trying to tihnk about everything, including how I feel about Paul.
Suddenly, my eyes grew heavy and I fell into a deep sleep.
---
When I woke up, I saw a cup of tea on the able, and Paul sitting at the end of the couch, interested in a book. He looked over at me, and smiled, shutting the book and putting it in his jacket pocket.
"How are you feeling," He asked me while throwing another blanket on top of me. "Bett-" I sneezed loudly, feeling just about the same as before now. He chuckled. "Clearly you're not much better," Paul said while stirring the tea. I sighed while I rubbed my nose. Paul handed me the tea, and waited for me to take it from his hand. I took his slowly from his hands, and drank some of it.
The tea was bitter, and obviously an accustomed taste. I stuck my tongue out and gave the cup of tea back to Paul, who chuckled while putting it down. "It's okay if you don't like it," Paul said to me. I nodded, in somewhat of a faze. Paul looked at the clock, looking surprised.
"Oh no, I have band practice now," he said while grabbing his guitar and throwing on his jacket. "What am I supposed to do," I asked him. He looked at me, feeling embarrassed. "Do you want to come?" I thought about it for a moment, wondering if this would be a good experience or not.
"Well--" I started coughing, while Paul waited for me to stop. "Maybe I shouldn't, I'd be distracting," I said while finishing my coughing session. Paul nodded. "Oh, that reminds me," he said, looking more serious.
"What happened to you last night," he asked me. I looked down at the ground nervously. "I guess it wasn't my atmosphere," I lied, hating myself for not being honest. Well tell you what," Paul said while taking my hand in his. "I'll take you, and you can stick with me for the whole night."
