They had been walking for about 6 minutes and finally arrived. Pidge opened the wooden door and an old bell above it rang throughout the room. Old fashioned? Keith was impressed. They entered the quite cosy looking structure. To the left were a few bunks, and in front of him was the cash desk. There stood a boy behind the counter, his face down, and a phone in hand, scrolling through what looked like Facebook profiles. Keith awkwardly stood behind Pidge and glanced out the huge window by the bunks, some people passing by.''Lance,'' Pidge announced. The boy looked up from his phone screen, a frustrated and tired look plastered on his face. Keith looked down at his feet, feeling like an intruder. ''Hey pidge.'' The voice sounded familiar, but Keith couldn't place all the cards on the table. It was too vague.
''You look tired man, you okay?'' Pidge asked, concern lingered in her voice. Strangely, Keith had never heard that. Another subtle hint that he didn't know her good enough for her to worry about him, he suddenly felt very unwelcome. He was never the social type, and had a lot of anxiety. He just doesn't know how to deal with these feelings.
''I'm fine, just... a lot has happened this morning and it messed me up a bit,'' The boy -Lance, said. His voice sounded worn out too. ''A little bit? Lance buddy, you've been scrolling throughout whole facebook the entire morning, it's already lunch!'' Another voice joined in. ''Oh hey Pidge!'' The voice chirped up, it sounded soothing and happy.
''Who's that?'' The same voice asked again. Keith looked up to see a buff looking man. He had broad shoulders and looked very approachable. His hair had a dark chocolate brown colour, and a dark tanned skin. Keith guessed he was the exotic type, just like that boy from this morning. The man looked like a kind and open person, a warmhearted and trustable, loyal friend. ''This is Keith, Keith this is Hunk. Oh, and the depressed one over there is Lance.'' Pidge informed. Keith waved slightly. ''Oh! So you're the guy pigeon is talking about for almost two years now!" Hunk said smiling brightly.
''Don't call me that!'' Pidge whined.
''Oh shut your snap, Pidge. And really? It took you more than a year.'' Hunk laughed and Pidge snorted. ''Yeah yeah, sorry. At least I go to university. Unlike some others.'' Pidge said sassily, ''Not you hunk, though. Your cooking skills are amazing. Keith you should try a cookie. I swear, nothing's better than Hunks cookies.'' Pidge said smiling.
''Aw, stop, you're gonna make me blush!'' Hunk whined, as both of them started laughing. ''Okay but seriously, Lancelot, what's wrong?'' Pidge asked, Lance didn't reply. Not even at the dorky nickname. He just kept scrolling. Pidge looked at Hunk for help, he just shrugged. ''Ever since his shift started at 8, he has been stalking a lot of unknown people on Facebook for some reason, I'm not sure if I should say it though,'' Hunk said.
''Well, Lance, could you at least greet our new friend?'' Pidge asked, pinching the bridge of her nose. ''Great first impression.'' She muttered under her breath. Lance finally looked up from his screen, mumbling an 'I give up' and pressed the off button of his phone, the touchscreen turning black, and put it in his jeans pocket.
''Alright! Lance this is Keith, Keith this is Lance!'' Pidge said happily. Lance looked up, as his pupils dilated. Keith froze the spot, he didn't dare to move. Every puzzle piece connected, and the silence that hang in the air was overwhelming. Again, a purple like flash was seen in both the boys' eyes.
Keith finally recognised the voice, those blue eyes, that skin and that hair, those lips and that tall lanky figure.
Lance finally found the Facebook profile he had searched for the entire morning.
Those violet, grey like eyes, that pale soft skin, that silky black hair, that stupid but adorable mullet, those tiny lips, and that small plump figure.
