Last chapter to be rewritten, It's 23;10 here (11:10Pm) and I'm just gonna go for it. Once again, any offending comments TO ME are gonna be directly deleted. Thank you and you're WELCOME FOR NOT DELETING THIS PIECE OF CRAP. NOW enjoy (:Mateo was playing with toy cars, Rosita had disappeared from the bottom of the earth again, Alexander and Eliza were out for a walk enjoying the weather, Rosa was reading a magazine, Tulio was napping on the couch with Angelica sleeping soundly on top of his chest, Sofia was writing a new chapter for one of her novels, Miguel was helping Louis out in the attic, Michaela was practising her drawing skills that Keith had taught her day or two ago, and last but not least, Keith and Lance awkwardly laid on the grass in the backyard, just gazing up at the clouds. Looking away frequently because of the sun.
It was peaceful.
''That one looks like a flower,'' Lance said pointing up. Keith followed his gesture and snorted, ''It does not! It looks like a lion,'' Keith spoke his thought. ''Well if you look at it differently it's a flower,'' Lance spoke softly. Not wanting to start a fight, or bicker about something so silly. It happened quite a lot the past 3 days.
Keith noticed the change in Lance's voice and smiled softly. Glancing at Lance's face, he was in an awe.
Keith moved his hand slightly, his skin barely brushed Lance's. The cuban boy grinned and without a doubt hooked his pinky with Keith's.
Keith breath out a content sigh, and moved closer to Lance, their shoulders now touching. He leant his head to the right, so his cheek was pressed against Lance's bare shoulder, his blue top slightly damp from sweat.
No socks, no shoes, they enjoyed the hot weather from Cuba with bare feet.
The sun was burning, and Keith new he needed to apply more sunscreen, but he was comfortable right where he was.
''So... tomorrow's the last day of the year...'' Lance announced. It had been quiet for a while. ''Yeah.'' Keith replied, not knowing what to say. His mind was blank. But a good blank.
''I don't want to go back to university,'' Keith sighed sadly. He really didn't feel like it.
''You do arts now, don't you?'' Lance asked. As he started sitting up, Keith followed suit.
''Yeah, i do.'' Keith replied. Their pinky's stayed connected.
Lance shifted a little so he was facing Keith, their fingers disconnecting. Keith huffed, holding back a whine at the loss of contact.
Ever since Christmas morning, neither of them had said anything about their relationship at the moment. Once the water balloons were out of stock they both took turns to shower and got dressed. Around six in the morning it was time to exchange gifts, everyone was up already anyway.
Even though they had confessed, almost kissed, it was kept locked in their memory. The family didn't say anything about it either. Hoping that they would grow some balls and talk about it, but they thought Lance and Keith jus needed some time to adjust.
But they were getting impatient.
''So....'' Lance trailed off, ''is this your last year?'' Lance asked, picking at the grass that surrounded them.
''Yep, I'm in my last year. I have finals in March and the last finals are in June,'' Keith said quietly, and started to make a flower crown with the few flowers surrounding him. Carefully to not break it.
