Ch 11: Hello and Goodbye

"No. We're not doing that." Bucky said roughly as Sarah proposed the idea of knocking him out for faster travel in water.

"Then be ready, its going to get cold and you're going to feel a lot of pain," she whispered as she took him to the edge of a dock.

"You can hold your breath for two minutes right?" Sarah asked as she readied herself.

Bucky nodded as he knew he could go up to seven minutes.

"Great lets go then." She said before jumping off the dock into the cold ocean below.

She let out grunts and screams underwater as her bones changed as she made herself have a tail once more.

When the transformation was complete slowly rose so that her shoulders were above the water signaling it was okay for Bucky to join her.

Not long after her emergance from the dark water below, Bucky jumped in greeted by the harsh cold water.

"Take your breath, it'll feel like a long three minutes." She said as Bucky too a large breath before she grabbed his waist with one arm his metal one latching to her own.

Bucky closed his eyes as the water stung his eyes as they propelled at that forbidden speed, Sarah not only using her tail but manipulation of the water to send them forward.

It wasnt long until they had finally made it to their destination, far and away from the United States of America.

Landing on the coast of Ireland Sarah tiredly lays on the soft sand of the beach before them, it was quiet as it was still night.

"Alright, change back." Bucky said gruffly as he helped Sarah out of the water.

He heard her shaky breaths as she trembled slightly, she was struggling to do as she was told.

"Hey, its okay... Take your time," Bucky says carefully as he notices her cringe.

"C- cover your ears," she whispered as she frowned and closed her eyes.

Frowning, he did so. It wasnt long after that she let out a loud scream that was partly muffled by the sand as her body structure changed to give her legs instead of a smooth scaly tale.

Her voice drifted off from the large scream to deep breaths as she passed out from the pain, this allowed Bucky to get up and place the clothes he had brought for her on her.

It being too dark to really see her body parts he swiftly put them on her and lifted her up from the sand.

"I got you," He muttered to her limp form as he moved to find them some shelter and maybe something to eat and wear.

"What are you guys doing out here?" A man asked Bucky as he carried Sarah to safety.

Bucky didn't get a chance to say anything before he noticed Sarah and became worried for the beauty.

"Jesus Christ! Here come quick- I can get her some help," the man said as he lead them to his home.

"No hospitals, she just had a rough day," Bucky says as the man leads them to a secluded home.

Wary to enter the man quickly notices.

"Its okay, I think I've seen her in a picture before, that's why I was so keen on helping." The man explains as Bucky enters.

This causes Bucky to tense up as he passes the threshold of the warm home.

"Its okay you're safe here, my father was one of the good guys. He used to be friends with Captain America." The man said as he noticed the worried glance Bucky gave him.
