*Listen to song on top or side while reading*

Bucky and Steve were walking towards a place where Bucky could drop off his papers for the registration of the army.

"This is your worst idea yet." Steve said as he looked at his friend turn in his papers.

"Why do you even want to join the army?" Steve asked suspiciously.

"To serve my country of course." He replied as he winked to a girl across the street.

"Mm... sure it has nothin to do with my sis?" He asked causing Bucky to freeze up but then relax.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He replied swiftly as he walked and almost tripped on a step he hadn't seen since he was distracted.

"I see she still makes you not so fast with your feet." Steve smirked as he saw his red face.

"Shut up punk." He replied angrily as he felt his face red.

Steve laughed a hearty laugh until he had trouble breathing, he leaned against a pole as he used his inhaler.

"Y-you know... You're gonna be... The death of me... One day!" Steve said in-between breaths. This caused Bucky to laugh now.

Steve was small, smaller than the average man, but he had a large heart. In truth he was planning on joining the army as well. There was nothing here for him now, and he had a good feeling he could lie his way into the army. He couldn't let his best friend and his sister go all by themselves, he had to be there for them.

After he turned in his papers for the army they headed home.

"Why didn't you ever ask my sister out?" Steve asked Bucky once they were at his apartment.

"What?" He asked as he flopped on what used to be her bed, he had taken her room when she wasn't here so that it wouldn't get dusty.

"You heard me, why didn't you ever ask out my sis? I saw the way you looked at her." Steve said as he sat next to him. He always thought her bed was the most comfy.

"I'm not good enough for her Steve, never was." He said sadly as he closed his eyes reminiscing about their times together.

"That doesn't mean you could never be. I saw the way you guys looked at each other, it was gross. She loved you til you decided to push her away ya know, maybe even after that." Steve said with a grimace and then a smile.

"When you find someone you love I'll let you know how you look at each other." Bucky said as he laughed until he stopped abruptly, himself realizing what he said.

"Point taken!" Steve yelled as he walked out of the tan room and to the kitchen. Bucky laid on her bed as he looked to the ceiling in despair. He should've gone with her to the army, now he fears he's lost her to the man named Perry carter.

"Steve!" Bucky called out.

"What?" He asked from his room.

"Is it a typical thing?" Bucky asked hesitantly.

"Is what a typical thing?" Steve asked confused.

"You know... gals fallin for guys that are in the military..." Bucky said embarrassingly.

There was a moment of silence until Steve walked up to the door frame and gave Bucky a look that basically said, 'You're the stupidest human being on earth'.

"You asked a man with no experience whatsoever for advice... I'm going to pretend that didn't happen. Just to let you keep some of your dignity left..." Steve said before walking off thinking about the kind of desperate bestfriend he had.

"But to answer your question, no it's not a typical thing Buck. You love whomever your heart body and mind choose, then your soul decides in the end." Steve said as he peaked his head through the door frame once more.

There was a long pause until Bucky looked up at him slowly.

"Have you always been such a sap?" Bucky asked with a smirk as he looked at Steve's face turn red.

"I read it somehwere jerk." He said embarrassingly as he scurried away to the confinement of his room.
