"We need to get moving." Bucky said as soon as Sarah had finished showering.

"I know but you must get cleaned up," she said lightly as she dried her hair and put on the clothes that were given to her.

Bucky respected her privacy and looked away.

"Im fine, we need to go. It's not safe for them if we stay longer," Bucky said gruffly as he tried to persuade her to leave sooner.

As she finished she touched his shoulder lightly causing him to look at her in question.

"You smell." She said with a small teasing smirk.

"You don't even have a sense of smell how would you know?" He asked as he slightly glared at her, unbeknownst to her a smile was trying to break out.

She bit her lip as she didn't want him to be angry with her, only wanting to enjoy herself she replied after a bit of a pause,

"...If I could smell you'd be the cause of it going away again."

This left Bucky speechless as he tried to figure out if she was being serious or not. The small twitch in the corner of her lips let him know that she was joking.

"...I'm just gonna pretend that never happened." He said as he walked to the bathroom to quickly shower.

The quickest way to get someone to do what you want them to is to make them uncomfortable.

As soon as he got out he heard voices talking, John and Sarah.

Staying out of sight he listened in on their conversation.

"We must leave after Bucky is done, it isn't safe for you both if we are here any longer." Sarah whispered lightly as she didn't want to control his mind.

"We're tougher than we look Sarah. Are you sure there isn't anything that could make you stay?" He asked with a small smile showing that he was joking.

She slightly smiled before shaking her head, Bucky getting the wrong impression believed she had wanted to stay with him.

"No John, we must go now," she whispered but Bucky couldn't hear over his own thoughts that were racing.

He'd end up losing this girl to the son of the man that had been in love with her. They'd come for her and she'd have no protection. She'd end up getting these people killed.

"At least take some money, I know you guys must be starving and are cold. This should last you for a couple months at least." John said as he rummaged around and gave her a bunch of wads of cash that he had saved up.

"I can't take this from you," she whispered as she looked at it in shock.

"You can and you will. Take it, it's not a problem for us here," he said encouragingly as he gave her a back pack to put it in.

"Thank you John I will never forget you," she said lightly before looking to the right noticing Bucky standing there with a far away look in his eyes.

Furrowing her brows she touched John's shoulder lightly before walking to Bucky.

"You alright Bucky?" She asked lightly as she touched his hand causing him to shy away from her.

"Im fine," he muttered before taking the bag and putting it on his back.

"Thank You John," he muttered loud enough so the man could hear.

All he got back was a nod and a salute as the man went back to his father.

Throughout their traveling off of the island of Ireland, Sarah got the cold shoulder from Bucky.

Not that it was warm before, but now it seemed almost freezing as she found it hard to engage with the man.

"Are... You okay?" She asked lightly as they drove through a barren road in Europe.

"Yes," he responded curtly as he gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"What did I do wrong?" She asked frustrated as she turned to him with a glare.

All she got was silence.

"Bucky... Tell me what happened," she asked again as her words became more sad.

She couldn't handle her savior being upset with her and not even knowing what provoked it.

"I'm sorry I made a joke about the way you smelled... I didn't think it would do any of us harm... I just wanted to see you smile," she said softly as she looked out the window scratching her hand nervously.

"I don't care about that stupid joke!" He yelled abruptly causing her eyes to widen as she was propelled into a memory, one that was extremely unpleasant.

"You didn't want to leave them, you wanted to stay with them and put them in even more danger than they already were all because you had a history with him!" He said angrily not noticing her fragile state of mind.

After not receiving a response he rolled his eyes.

"Of all the times for you to stay quiet you decide this is the perfect time- what happened to the chatty gal that was here a second ago?" He questioned angrily not bothering to look at the girl that made him feel so confused about himself.

Her lips trembled as in her memory she saw herself swim in cold waters till she reached her destination, a ship.

It was night as she soared through the water, moving an iceberg out of her way using the force of the water's current she easily plumetted into the ship effectively causing a hole to be made as she landed in the ship itself.

Controlling the water so it would enter faster she quickly went to the opposite side of where she came through as created a second hole for her to escape from.

Swimming out she swam to the middle of the ship and let out her screams from underwater as she saw them beat at the metal until they broke through cutting through the ship itself until it began to split, she didn't stay for the outcome knowing this ship like the many before this one would be totalled.

"Sarah-" Bucky cut himself off as he noticed her tear glazed eyes and trembling lips as she stared straight ahead not responding nor reacting to any word he was saying.

"Sarah?" He whispered lightly as he touched her shoulder causing her to freeze and let out a shriek that causing him to yell  out in pain as he covered his ears, the car swerving till he slammed the breaks.

All the glass in the car broke as the dashboard in front of her seemed to take on a dent as it received the impact of her scream.

The airbags went off causing her to gasp as she stopped screaming, the slap to her chest and face seemed to bring her back to the land of the living.

She slowly turned her head to see Bucky removing his hands from his ears as he turned to her slowly.

"I- I'm... so sorry," she whispered afraid as she looked at the car that she was in.

"It's not your fault," he said when he saw her terrified face nearly crying.

"I'm a monster Bucky," she whispered as she felt the tears fall as she trembled in fear.

"No you're not." He said firmly as he put the car on park.

"You didn't see what I did... You don't know what I am... All those people dead because of me!" She yelled in anger as the tears fell freely from her face.

"This isn't You! This is HYDRA! This is all them... None of this is what you chose to be, you didn't choose this life... It was Taken from us... This isn't anyone's fault but their own," he said firmly as he hugged her tightly.

"Do you really believe that?" She asked sadly as she looked up at him, with tear stained cheeks.

"I'm trying to," Bucky said honestly as he held the girl in his arms.
