Ch5: You're Different

*Time skip by like two months, I'm the author I do what I want.*

Sarah was enjoying a walk around the compound as it was her day off from her station at the med tent.

She heard the bells and whistles signifying the troops were back from their training and now one would be chosen for the experiment.

She paid no mind to it and assumed if someone needed her they'd send someone to get her.

She had been wearing a suit much like the one of Peggy Carter, the only difference was that her's was all white with the sign of being a medic on the left side of her chest.

She was around the same level as Peggy if not just below her by a tad bit. She could hear someone calling her name in the distance.

"Sarah!" She heard Peggy call her. She slowly turned around and walked to her with a bright smile, she had let her hair down so she could relax.

"Trained recruits are here, Philips wants you to talk to them, give them spirit I must say, but in reality you're choosing the one for the experiment." Peggy said with her accent.

"Give em spirit ey?" Sarah asked with a smirk. They began walking back as they shared a laugh.

"You know, my brother hasn't stopped talking about you." Peggy said with a smirk.

"Ah what does he say?" Sarah asked with a small smile.

"She's the most beautiful woman I've ever met, she had the most enchanting voice, shes a God with her hands, oh and he says that he adores your intelligence? I dont even know what that's supposed to mean!" Peggy said mocking his voice with a laugh. Sarah laughed as she heard Peggy's imitation of her brother.

"Look there he is, along with Dr. Sexy." Peggy said pointing to the med tent as a man was approaching Perry and his friend Markus.

"Dr. Sexy?" Sarah asked while looking at Peggy.

"I may or may not have told him you called that medic walking towards him doctor sexy, he believed it." Peggy said with a nervous laugh and a shy smile.

"I swear Peggy you will be the death of me one day, but I must admit he is quite good looking." Sarah said with a giggle as she saw Perry try his best to inconspicuously avoid 'Dr. Sexy'

"I know you're infatuated with the boy back at home but didn't you tell me lots of girls chased him?" Peggy asked trying to make a point.

"Yeah but I had many men chase me as well, it wasn't a big deal at the time until he started goin out with em. Beside im not  infatuated with him." Sarah said dismissively.

"My brother's a good man Sarah, he'd never even dream of hurting you. Though he does have zero experience with women he is a gentleman." Peggy said with a smile as they grew closer to the recruits. They both shared a laugh before walking the rest of the way talking about smaller things.

"Ah Rogers! Just the woman I wanted to see! Talk some sense into these men, we'll decide after." Philips said before standing back and letting her do what she does best.

"Alright! Boys, who said you were to be at ease? Line up!" She yelled in a commanding authorative voice, very different from her usually calm personality.

"One of you will be chosen for our super soldier program. Just one. We don't want bullies here we want real men willing to fight for their brothers and their country." Sarah said beginning to walk away from them. She launched a grenade towards the men so that it's land right in front of them.

"GRENADE!" one of the guys yelled before running to take cover, all the rest did the same except for one. Sarah's eyes widened as she saw Steve cover the grenade with his small skinny body.

She had no idea that he was here. She walked up to him with a smile as she crouched down.

"At ease soldier." She said with a smile as she touched his shoulder. She turned back to Philips with a smirk, she noticed doctor erksine standing behind him so she smiled and nodded her head. Steve was the chosen one.

"S- sarah?" He asked when he opened his wide eyes.

"I knew there was a Steve here but I had no idea it was you!" Sarah said with a smile as she helped him up. The grenade had been fake, as a part of the test.

"C'mon let's go get you ready." Sarah said as she led him to Dr erksine. He had a lot of prepping in store for him and she felt she'd get an earful from her "best friend" Chester Philips who in realty was not her best friend.

No, not even close.

"Why me?" Steve asked nervously as he looked to his twin in thought. Shocked by his question she answered while still deep in thought,

"You're different,"
