[MC POV]

I felt some weight on my side and opened my eyes to see a bright white ceiling. I looked down to see Kankuro asleep on a chair and was resting his head on my arm. I felt my face heat up and I shook him with my other arm. "Kankuro...get up." Kankuro stirred and opened his eyes.

"Yumiko?" He asked. I nodded and he jumped out of the chair and hugged me.

"...Kankuro...c-can't...breath..." I said as he had squeezed all of the air out of me.

"I am so sorry." Kankuro said letting go and pulling back so he could face me. "It's all my fault."

"What are you talking about?" I asked in confusion. Sure the hug was a little tight, but it's not as if it would kill me . Kankuro looked at me and sighed.

"The men who kidnapped you were the same ones who poisoned me. They found out that you had found a cure for it and didn't like that." Kankuro explained. I smiled.

"Hey, if you guys were that close to me but didn't ask for my help because you didn't want me to be in trouble, I would be more than mad." I explained to him.

"Good to see you're awake." A familiar voice said. We looked over to see Sakura walking in the room with a clip board.

"Sakura? What are you doing here?" I asked and she smiled.

"I'm the one who made the antidote and who watched over your recovery." She said. "Anyways I have to take some tests so Kankuro can you please leave the room?" I exchanged a quick glance with Kankuro telling him that I would be fine. He let go of my hand that I didn't know he was holding and left the room. Sakura walked over and sat down on the cair. "I need you to stand up and walk across the room for me." She said. I stood up and began walking across the room.

"So, how long have I been in here?" I asked as I turned around and headed back towards her.

"A month. After Kankuro pulled a miracle and brought back all of these rare herbs, it took me a day to make the antidote and I had to give you a little everyday because it was so powerful." Sakura explained. "Also Kankuro visited you everyday even when I told him it would take a minimum of 3 weeks for you to wake up." Once I made it back I sat down on the bed facing Sakura.

"Everyday?" I asked surprised.

"Yup." She smiled a knowing smile that just confused me. "I need your arm." She said as she got out a needle and an elastic band. I sighed and stuck out my arm. I had always been the person on the other side of this. Once Sakura was done she put it in a bowl and added a pink substance. She looked at it for a bit before turning to me. "Alright it seems you're 100% better. You can sign out when you're ready." She said and left the room.

Kankuro walked in the room right after Sakura had left. "Ready to go?" He asked and I turned to him.

"Go where?" I asked confused.

"There's something I want to show you." He said with a smile. I looked at him questionably.

"Okay, I don't see why not." I said with a smile and walked beside him as we went to sign me out.

We have been walking for some time when Kankuro stopped. "What are you stopping for?" I asked.

"Here." He held out his hand and I looked down to see him holding a black ribbon. "This is yours." I smiled and took it tying up my hair with it.

"Thank you. I thought I lost it." I admitted.

"Come on, It's not that far from here." He said.

After a bit more walking we came to the line of trees and sand. On the border there was a new house that looked as if it had just been built. I looked to Kankuro who smiled and held up a key. He walked up to the house and unlocked the door stepping inside. I followed him in and saw a simple, normal. living room. I walked though the door at the back and found myself in a huge library full of all of my books that were all sorted. I smiled and ran to the next door that was off of the library. Inside was a lab full of cabinets, shelves and tools. I laughed and opened up another door and saw that it lead down stairs. I walked down and saw a bigger set up of my rare herb garden. I ran back upstairs and into the kitchen. It had nice table and chairs...with no books all over the place. I walked down the hallway and opened a door. Inside was a very strange room...

There was puppet stuff everywhere. I turned out to see Kankuro standing there. "Kankuro?"

"Yumiko...Will you go out with me?" I looked into Kankuro's face shocked. I stood there until my shocked face became a full out smile.

"Yes, Of course!" I yelled and jumped onto him kissing him, something I didn't know I longed to do.
