"Come on Adym, open the door! This isn't funny anymore." I'm knocking and knocking, getting impatient. "Come on we have to go, the freeway is going to be packed soon!" Adyms mother opens the door to my surprise. "Hi there dear, is Adym ready yet?" I say with enthusiasm. She looks at me with confusion. Adyms mother takes a step outside the door and closes it behind her. She says, "didn't he tell you?" Her confused expression made me worried. "What do you mean?" I shyly say. "Kat" she says in a low tone, "He left already, he left hours ago

Kat and Adym have been friends since high school. They were practically inseparable. Their personalities were almost identical. They knew everything about one another. Everyone always told them to date, but they never really looked at one another in a romantic way. At least that is what Adym thought. Kat has always had something for Adym, but didn't want to ruin their friendship by revealing her feelings. She always hated him going out on dates with other girls, but she still supported him. Kat and Adym had most of their classes together. They were both in choir because they both had a passion for music. Kat actually gave him the nick name "Ricco." As time went on and they both graduated, they still remained in contact, and they were still best friends. Adym had discussed moving out to Kat and she was all for it. She asked if she could join him, and he hesitantly said yes. She always wondered if may be he didn't want her to come, and today her fears became a reality.
