History class ended. Some classmates got up and started talking to their friends, others, including me, started playing with their phones, etc.

-Hey, I'm Jiwoo- I heard my friend say, I discretly looked at her, she was talking to the boy that was sitting behind me.- Where are you from?

-I am from LA- he simply answered.

-What? From LA? And why did you move here?- my friend was practically shocked. 

-My parents used to live here and we just... moved. 

-Woah, I've always wanted to live in LA, or at least visit it.

-It's not that cool.- There was a 3 seconds silence.-Isn't your friend going to introduce herself?- He said and then touched my shoulder a few times.

I turned around, he had a smile on his face. 

-Why should I have to introduce myself?- I simply said. 

-I don't know, that's what people usually do when they meet someone for the first time.- He smiled again.

I turned again and continued looking at my phone. 

-Such a badass. Are you always so mean? 

-Are you always so stupid?

Jiwoo was just contemplating the scene when she decided to talk.

-Don't be freaking stupid- she said to me and then looked at Mathew- Her name is Jeon Somin, she is actually really nice and chill but she just wants to act cool.

-Jiwoo!- I yelled, angry.

-It was useless to fight- Jiwoo answered.

Science teacher entered in the class, I knew because everyone stopped talking suddenly.

Then I noticed something was next to my ear.

-Jeon Somin, I feel like we're going to be really good friends.- Mathew whispered to me.

I was in shock. What is that supposed o mean?

The day passed by, it's 15:00, time to go back home. Everyone is picking up their things, getting ready to get out. 

Mathew didn't bother me again in the rest of the day, I appreciate it. 

I am now ready waiting for Jiwoo to finish, she's always so slow.

-Let's go- she said while closing her schoolbag, we went to the hallway and started walking to the exit.

-I'll see you later, right?- She asked me. I didn't know what she was talking about.

-What are you talking about?- I asked confused

-Taehyun's basketball training!- I opened my mouth, surprised.

-Oh my god, I totally forgot! Thanks for reminding me.

-I am your life saver.

-If you say so... -I smiled at her, she did the same.

We heard a car's klaxon, we both got scared. I noticed the klaxon was from the car from Jiwoo's mother. 

-My mother is already here?- She looked disappointed then turned to me- I'll see you later.- She started walking, then looked to me again- 17:00 don't forget!- she yelled far away from me.

-I won't!- I yelled back.

I went back home alone and walking while listening to music, but the truth is I wasn't even paying attention to the music, I couldn't stop thinking about what Mathew told me in class. I don't know why I keep thinking about him, he is just a stupid boy that says stupid things and does stupid things.

When I arrived at home I did some homework, studied a bit and watched TV for a few minutes because when I looked at the clock it was already 16:45.

I got up from the couch and went to the bathroom, I made myself a ponytail and went fast to the school.

When I arrived there Jiwoo was already waiting for me in the principal door. 

-You're late.- She said, giving me an angry look with her eyes. I looked at the clock

-Jiwoo, just 3 minutes.

-Enough minutes!-she said.

I didn't say anything, just started walking with her to the basketball court. Once we arrived there, we entered and sat on the steps, the boys weren't on the court already, I guess they are changing.

When I looked at Jiwoo I caught her yawning.

-Jiwoo are you sleepy?- I asked her. She looked at me and nodded while giving me a very little smile.

-I didn't sleep enough last night, I guess I was nervous because of the first day of school.-She answered, looking at the front.

-It happened the same to me, but I finally could sleep at 00:00.

-Lucky you.

We keep the silence for some minutes when all of sudden we start to hear screams and footsteps, one by one the basketball players came to the court, they formed a row and the coach approached them. Taehyun looked at us and smiled while he shaked his hand side to side. We did the same, Taehyun is a really nice guy, and he's so cute.

I looked at all the players, none of them were new, except for one, but it wasn't new to me.

-Look, Mathew is also on the team- Jiwoo said while pointing at him, I took her arm and put it down. I didn't want Mathew to know we were talking about him.

-He's everywhere, annoying.

-I think you guys could be a cute couple.

I looked at my friend with angry eyes. She just rolled her eyes and looked to the court again. 

I looked also to the court, I looked at Mathew, who was looking at me and Jiwoo, with a little smile on his mouth. Fuck, he saw what Jiwoo did. 

-Okay, welcome back everyone, we all know each other from the last year, except for one new partner- the coach started talking- He is Mathew- pointed at him- he is your new partner. Want to say something?

-No- He answered.

-Then let's start playing, make two teams and start. We can't lose time.- He screamed and sat on a bench.

The boys started playing and Jiwoo and I just paid attention.

-Oh, Jiwoo, I totally forgot...- I started talking.

-You seriously have a problem with remembering things, Somin.

I laughed.

-Do you remember my parents were going to have this "romantic holiday" thing where they were going to a hotel for 3 days.- she nodded- Do you want to sleep in my house those three days?

-I'll ask my mother- She said excitedly. 

We looked at the match again.

I saw Mathew going to a bench and drinking water, his eyes looked at mines while he was still drinking. He stopped and left the bottle in the bench then looked at me again and winked. After that he went back to the game.

-Did he just winked at you?!- Jiwoo almost screamed by my side.
