Skye fell to her knees as Raina ran out of the room and towards the guards, shrieking about revenge and how she was going to kill Cal for lying to her. She held up her hands and noticed how they wouldn't stop shaking. She looked around and noticed how Lincoln was practically sizzling. Maya sat on the floor, shaking, as she hugged her knees to her chest.

"What just happened?"

"Raina is a cactus," Lincoln said slowly, "and I'm not sure but," he held out his hand and Skye noticed a small blue lightning bolt appear between his fingers before disappearing. "Something with electricity, I guess."

Maya spoke up, "it hurts. Oh my gosh, it hurts so much."

Skye crawled over to her, "what's happened?"

"I don't know," she held out her hands and they started to shake uncontrollably. "It just hurts."

Lincoln looked over at Skye. "What about you?"

Skye held up her own shaking hand. "Everything's shaking. I can't make it stop."

"Skye, nothing's moving."

Skye looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. "You're kidding. Everything is shaking, literally everything."

"Skye, I'm not kidding."

Skye gulped and tried to make the shaking stop. She closed her eyes, set her hands on her temples, and took a deep breath. After a few moments the shaking stopped. She sighed in relief and stood up, finally able to balance. She held out her hand to Maya and helped her up. Maya shot her a grateful smile and the three cautiously made their way out of the room.

They heard a gunshot a few feet away from them and panicked. Skye picked up a discarded flashlight and pointed it in the direction of the gunshot, hoping she hadn't just sentenced them all to death by doing so.

She saw Ward's figure shoot a gun at one of the guards from earlier. Skye's eyes widened and she took a deep breath. What the hell was he doing here? She saw another figure beside him, he almost looked like...Captain America. She shook her head and then turned to Lincoln. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

"Captain America?" Lincoln blinked. "Yeah, I'm seeing what you're seeing."

Just as they were about to walk over to them, a volley of gunshots was heard on the other side of them. "That's reinforcements arriving!" Steve shouted. "And not ours!"

Natasha, who was fighting next to Steve, made eye contact with Skye and tossed a gun towards them. Skye caught the gun and turned around, facing the direction she had just heard the gunshots. "Stay behind me," she directed towards Lincoln and Maya.

They both nodded furiously and Skye made her way down the hallway. She jumped when she heard a voice from behind her. "Figured you could use a hand."

She glared, not that he could see it. "I don't know what you're doing here, Ward, but if you think-"

"Relax," he interrupted. "Coulson already read me the riot act. I'm just here to help get you and Trip out. Where is he?"

A lump formed in her throats and she pushed the tears out of her eyes. "Trip's dead."

Ward swore.

Just then, a light flickered ahead of them. Ward nodded to Skye and they both made their way towards the source of light. Skye kept her arm out to signal for Lincoln and Maya to stop. They stayed behind as Skye and Ward rounded the corner and were met with about 10 men.

Ward shot two of the men before they even turned around, and Skye managed to take out one before his bullet went whizzing past her. They advanced and ducked out of the way of stray bullets flying in their direction. Both Ward and Skye, respectively, were able to disarm their opponents. Skye threw a punch at the man she was fighting and managed to hit him square in the jaw. He growled and threw a kick towards her middle but she blocked it with both of her wrists. While she was disoriented, he threw a punch and managed to hit her in the face. She let go of his knee and lifted her leg to kick him in the abdomen. She planted a firm kick and the man went stumbling backwards. She picked her gun up off of the ground and shot the man twice. She looked over at Ward, who was fighting the last man in the corridor and she shot his opponent. Ward looked over at her in surprise. "I had it under control."
