Fluff (Pidge x reader)

You sat in one of the lounges at the castle, waiting for Pidge to return from a small mission they went on with the other paladins. You were concerned for Pidge, they hadn't slept for the past two days because of a 'secret project' in their lab. And when Pidge didn't take care of themself, you worried for them, making you unable to sleep most of the night. You asked Shiro in private to keep an eye out for them on the mission so they wouldn't accidentally get hurt in some way.

As soon as Pidge returned, you would make them get some sleep. You heard the swoosh of the doors opening and immediately sprang your head over the side to be met with your adorable green paladin. Pidge let out a large yawn. "(Y/N)! Do you want to watch a movie?" They asked tiredly. "I want to spend time with you."Pidge was making this very hard for you, how could you resist this tired little munchkin? You deeply inhaled and looked right at the overworked paladin.

"Babe, I love you but you should really get some sleep." You said, trying to not fall prey to their lovable ways.

"Do you not want to spend time with me right now? I'd be fine with giving you space if thats what you want."

"No, of course I want to spend time with you! It's just that you haven't been sleeping much lately and I'm worried about you." You replied to Pidge.

"Follow me for a sec." Pidge held out their hand to you. You took it and laced your fingers into theirs. Your hands were the perfect size for each other, fingers interlocking like puzzle pieces. Pidge led you to their room. You two have been sleeping together since you've gotten farther in your relationship. You loved the way Pidges sheets were just as silky as their soft skin. And at the end of the day you could wrap yourself in both Pidge and their comforting scent and soft blankets. Walking through the door, the scent of their room filled your nose, comfort and familiarity washing over you. Pidge unlaced your fingers and padded over to a spot of the room next to the wall.
"Could you hit the lights please?" They asked.
You flipped the switch to your side and heard Pidge press something on the wall. Immediately, the room burst to life with a bunch of constellations and stars. Your breath caught in your throat. And your heart was about to explode at the kind gesture. "Remember that night at the garrison when we met. We were both sneaking out and caught each other. You didn't know what to do with the awkward situation so you started to point out a bunch of constellations. So, I thought this might be a nice decoration for our nights together." Pidge approached you and you opened your arms to their small form and hugged them close.

"So this is why my partner in crime has been so tired." You blushed as Pidge held you closer to their chest.

"I wanted to do something special for you. Just a little thing out of the blue." You felt Pidge shrug when they said it. You hopped up onto the bed, pulling them with you.

"I love you, to the asteroid belt and back, a million times over. I didn't know you had such a romantic side!" Pidge turned toward you and you faced them. The stars reflected faintly in Pidges glasses. They looked perfect, as always. You scooted closer to them. Wanting to get as close as humanly possible. Their arm was at your waist, hugging you slightly as your arm was in the small space between you with your hand caressing the side of their face and the small hairs that inched onto their neck. "You should get some sleep, Techie."You mumbled into their chest.

"You as well." They whispered to you. You smiled into their chest and brought your head up to peck their lips. Pidge snaked their arms around your waist and brought you onto their chest. The two of you laid in the heap of soft blankets and pillows, simply enjoying each others company. You played with their short hazel hair until you got tired. Wrapping your arms around their neck, you pecked their lips a final time before snuggling into their chest. As you slowly drifted off, smelling Pidge's comforting scent, you felt a small kiss on the top of your head. You smiled and felt Pidge's chest rising and falling at a slower rate. You finally closed your eyes for a much needed sleep.
